After racking my brains all day, writing and deleting, deleting and rewriting, sitting blankly before the computer all day, I still couldn't capture that feeling.

On top of that, I was about to set sail, which left me even more exhausted in body and mind. If it were just a transitional chapter, I could still force myself through it, but I genuinely couldn't write a plot-heavy chapter like this.

I wanted to give everyone an update.

I was about to take part in a relatively long summer study program organized by my school.

During that time, I probably wouldn't be able to access the internet reliably.

So from today until August 12, updates wouldn't be stable. I might post some side stories now and then.

Sigh.

Let me say something from the heart.

Ever since the later stages of the Great Rebellion, up to the current plot, I had always felt that the story I wrote was somehow lacking. I tried to recapture the feeling I had back then, but every time I thought about it, I felt exhausted.

When my ideas had flowed most smoothly, during this book's climax, my physical condition had actually been rather poor. I had always been used to plotting late at night, which led to insomnia. I often couldn't fall asleep until three or four in the morning.

But supported by the excitement of the plot, I still forced myself to finish writing it.

Looking back now, that state might have laid the groundwork for my steadily worsening health afterward.

I thought the plot density in my earlier chapters had been fairly high, so my later planning and design couldn't keep up with my update schedule. Sometimes I might have forced myself to update, leaving flaws in quality, plot, and characterization.
