Other than the Silent King and a handful of people in the galaxy, few knew of the Outsider's existence—
Including Roboute Guilliman.
But Hades, with his omniscience cheat enabled, knew.
"Wait?"
Hades stared at Malcador in disbelief. The old man still wore that half-dead expression, as though he had been rolling his eyes at Hades and Guilliman the entire time.
"The Outsider—is it the C'tan I think it is?"
"Soulless Ogryn, I trust you haven't burned your brain out on paperwork."
"But—but—"
Hades raised his voice.
"If the Outsider arrives, what do we do next? That's an entire C'tan! The Necrons are nowhere near what they once were. Does Neos think the Silent King can handle a complete C'tan now?"
"Or does he think we have a chance against a complete C'tan???"
As an incomplete C'tan himself, Hades understood the gap between a complete C'tan and a Shard of the Star God all too well.
It was not merely a difference in the scale of strength or abilities. A complete C'tan meant truly altering the rules—a being completely beyond dimensions, the true master of the physical galaxy.
Hades did not believe any race here could contend with a complete C'tan—
Perhaps the Silent King could manage it by joining forces with every remaining Necron, but the Stormlord was clearly preparing to abandon ship.
And Chaos, now weakened, weakened to the point of long having fallen silent, was clearly no match for a complete C'tan either.
The
