"You are far too naive, daring to challenge the Necrontyr with a history of less than a million years. Every road the Necrontyr have walked has been crueler than anything you have endured."
From the War in Heaven to shattering the C'tan, the Necrontyr had grievously wounded those so-called "gods" twice.
"Your arrogant illusion saved you, but such luck will not descend again—stitched-together monster."
The sky was cloudless for ten thousand miles, yet the heavens were gray and lightless. The atmosphere had long since been riddled with holes and grown exceedingly thin. From the ground, anyone could see the strange celestial bodies above, all aimed at the surface.
The Command Throne floated in the air. Violent arcs of electricity gathered before the two metal hovering monoliths beside it, while the staffs of the other two saints were already aimed at the Underking, that monster dripping black fluid downward.
"The arrogant ones are you... dead things."
Hades—no, the Underking, The Great Devourer—slowly raised its head. Its pitch-black, liquid-like body was embedded with the features of its own kind, slowly dissolving them like digestive fluid.
It was clearly not in its right mind. Perhaps its feeding had been interrupted, or perhaps it was due to the high-pressure work of recent days. A smoke-like aura rose around it.
"Silent King, who calls yourself the administrator of the galaxy—when the four Chaos gods ran rampant, did you ever govern them?! Chaos threw the galaxy into turmoil, and its people suffered beyond measure—I led an army to war and eradicated one of them—where were you then?!"
The Underking let out a cold chuckle. It sensed the guns of the Silent King's army already trained upon it, while the celestial bodies high above had completed their formation, awaiting only a single order from the Silent King.
