The Primarch narrowed his eyes and stared intently at it. Mortarion, transmitted from the Warp, had clearly revealed his true essence. Even the face Corax could recognize was gone, replaced by a bone-white visage whose lower half had completely transformed into an insect.

Corax said between heavy breaths. He could feel the bloodthirsty instinct catching up to him again. He wanted to see blood pouring forth, wanted to see heads impaled high into the sky.

Corax roared, spreading his bony wings wide. A hurricane surged from beneath them, and Mortarion saw the spikes rising between Corax's wing bones, as well as the heads impaled upon them.

The next moment, Corax climbed into the sky, beat his wings, and immediately flew back toward the battlefield. As though fleeing disaster, he escaped this place and charged back into the battle against the Necrons.

Watching The Night Haunter leave, Corax almost immediately let out a breath
