The wolf pack howled and lunged forward without regard for their lives, tearing flesh away with fangs of torpedoes and lascannons, piercing skin with their claws, dragging out steaming organs. Their muzzles were crimson, burning with bloodthirsty fervor.
Some ships on the fleet's outskirts broke away from the main force forever, swiftly surrounded and torn apart by countless wolves. Ships rammed through from the outside into their inner compartments spewed atmosphere and crewmen into space. Blood scattered across the void, only to be swallowed by explosions.
Yet the lead horse would never slow down.
The herd strode through Guilliman's fleet. The sound of the wind grew louder and louder. The outer hulls, once smooth and orderly, were illuminated by sunlight and explosions, shimmering like a steed's mane blown by wind and sun.
Seeing the entire fleet about to pass through the first line of defense, the lead wolf growled in displeasure. His loyal pack immediately responded. Larger vessels, flickering with strange Psychic Power fluctuations, broke formation and charged straight at the fleet under Khan's command!
At the prow, the Khan furrowed her brow without changing expression. Her figure seemed to grow ever taller, like a horse herder standing upon a distant mountaintop on the plateau. The scent of wild wind and freedom emerged beside every White Scar, casting a radiance over the fleet's foremost ranks.
