Sometimes, it would inexplicably feel pain—
But Trazyn knew it was an illusion. Its true sense of pain had long vanished alongside its life and soul.
The race that feared death had ultimately been buried deep within its tombs. Netherfire burned quietly. It was time to bring this to an end.
+Advance!!!+
Trazyn heard its voice tear across the galaxy. Its army did not need its roar; more efficient, more ruthless signals had already been transmitted ahead of it.
What was more, the intelligences that had taken over the Necron bodies had acted even before Trazyn's command.
Trazyn looked toward that distant figure—the fated enemy chosen by the Necrontyr. Its outstretched mechanical fingers showed no fear as they pointed like a sword at a god.
+We have brought down gods before! We can fucking bring him down again! In the name of Trazyn the Infinite!+
That tyrannical monster that filled the entire galaxy was right there, a vast expanse of white, roaring madly—the monster fed on Necrontyr flesh and souls, the filth filled with Necrontyr tears and desires. It stood there, just like the C'tan monsters Trazyn had once glimpsed.
Tens of thousands of years passed in a flash. The Infinite had seen countless C'tan—tyrannical ones, cunning ones—but the one thing that never changed was their eternally greedy, eternally cruel core.
The Outsider roared. A massive sphere of light burned like an adult charging into a crowd of children and wildly swinging an axe. It clearly, arrogantly knew that it was the only strong one here, the only "god" with the power to crush everything.
One axe blow, then another. The dazzling white light that saturated all fate easily swallowed the ships charging toward it. Crescent-shaped Midnight Shrouds streaked through the galaxy, spewing antimatter rounds at the Outsider.
