Lin Xiao entered Shrek Academy, outshone Tang San and Dai Mubai, and gained powerful Soul Rings while drawing closer to Xiao Wu, Ning Rongrong, and Zhu Zhuqing. The arc ended with Lin Xiao defying Tang Hao’s threat and heading to Suotuo City with Ning Rongrong and her Path Guardians to report him to Spirit Hall.

• Lin Xiao reached the Rose Hotel ahead of Xiao Wu and Tang San, took a hit while shielding Xiao Wu, and persuaded her to let him stay with them.
• Lin Xiao awakened the Four Swords of Zhu Xian Martial Soul with level-twenty Innate Soul Power, then joined Xiao Wu and Tang San on their journey to Shrek Academy.
• Lin Xiao passed Shrek’s final test by leading the group against Zhao Wuji, then received a Heaven-Gifted First Soul Ring and reached level twenty-five.
• Lin Xiao grew close to Ning Rongrong as Tang San became increasingly jealous, and the system tasked Lin Xiao with defeating Dai Mubai.

• Tang Hao withdrew when Lin Xiao threatened to summon Spirit Hall, and Lin Xiao led Ning Rongrong and her Path Guardians toward Suotuo City to report him.

Lin Xiao exposed Tang Hao and Tang San’s schemes, protected Xiao Wu, and repeatedly thwarted Tang San and Dai Mubai. After gaining a powerful third soul ring, he returned from the Star Dou Great Forest with Xiao Wu, leaving Tang San’s plans frustrated.

• Lin Xiao reported Tang Hao to Bishop Tu Ling, accepted Spirit Hall’s support, and took bounty missions investigating Tang Hao and the Clear Sky Sect.
• Sword Douluo thanked Lin Xiao for protecting Ning Rongrong, learned of his Four Swords of Zhu Xian, and vowed that the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Sect would settle accounts with Tang Hao.
• Lin Xiao revealed Tang Hao and Tang San’s plans to Xiao Wu, showed her Ah Yin’s memories, and gave her the Phantom God's Heart to conceal her identity.
• Lin Xiao joined the trip to the Star Dou Great Forest, where Tang San and Dai Mubai lured a Dark Cloud Leopard toward his tent, but Lin Xiao killed it and exposed their scheme.
• Lin Xiao defeated Ye Zhiqiu when Canghui Academy confronted the group, then killed the Phoenix-tail Crested Serpent before Oscar could claim its soul ring.

Lin Xiao rejected Yu Xiaogang’s attempt to claim him as a disciple and built stronger ties with the girls, Shrek’s teachers, the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Sect, and Spirit Hall. As Lin Xiao trained his group, Tang San and Dai Mubai plotted against him, ending with an accepted assassination contract and Zhu Zhuqing investigating their plans.

• Lin Xiao returned to Shrek with a thirty-thousand-year soul ring, rejected Yu Xiaogang’s offer to teach him, and fought Tang San after defending Xiao Wu’s independence.
• Flender split the students into separate teams, and Lin Xiao trained with Xiao Wu, Ning Rongrong, and Zhu Zhuqing under Zhao Wuji while teaching them body tempering.
• Ning Fengzhi offered Lin Xiao the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Sect’s protection and resources, while Bibi Dong ordered Spirit Hall to approach him, and Lin Xiao declined Spirit Hall’s invitation but accepted its resources.
