Background / History

Tang San initially planned to bring Huo Yuhao into his family through his daughter, Wang Dong, and claim Huo’s fortune. After Huo defeated Wang Dong in the freshman assessment, Tang San abandoned that plan and resolved to take the fortune directly 15.

He sent a Divine Sense avatar to Douluo Continent. The avatar entered a corpse with a fatal chest wound and repaired it using the Asura inheritance, at considerable cost to his strength. After further attacks near the Dou Ling Empire border, Long Xiaoyao took him to the Holy Spirit Cult, where Zhongli Wu named him the Blood Silver Saint Son 42 46 48.

The avatar then enrolled at Shrek Academy, joined the Tang Sect, and entered the Martial Soul Department. He concealed his divine identity while pursuing access to Huo Yuhao and the Golden Tree. His true body later disclosed, in private, a broader ambition: to use the Golden Tree and Huo’s fortune to gain power and overthrow the God of Destruction 49 56 57.

Appearance

Tang San’s true body and mortal avatar have distinct appearances:

• True body: Wears deep-blue divine robes; a projection of him has blue hair falling to his shoulders 42 122.
• Mortal avatar: A young man with short gray-blue hair and deep-blue eyes. Eight dark-blue spider legs can appear behind his back 45 57.

Personality

Tang San presents himself as composed and courteous when doing so serves his plans. Privately, he is proud of his status as a God King, resentful of setbacks, and inclined to treat potential allies as pieces to use 46 56 57.

The avatar’s restraint deteriorates after his injuries and recovery at Shrek. When Tang Ya hesitates to use her Martial Soul’s devouring power, he abandons persuasion and forces her into obedience with Divine Sense 115 116.

Abilities & Skills

Divine Sense and Asura inheritance

• Repairs the avatar’s otherwise fatal chest wound through the Asura inheritance 46.
• Can overwhelm another person’s mind; he uses it to suppress Tang Ya’s resistance 116.
• Heavy use depletes the avatar’s limited Origin Divine Sense. Forcibly awakening his Martial Souls leaves him with less than a tenth of his original reserve 48.

• Huo Yuhao — The chief obstacle to Tang San’s plans; Tang San seeks his fortune and views him as a threat to his control over events on Douluo Continent 15 49 124.
• Wang Dong — His daughter. Tang San first intends to use her relationship with Huo Yuhao to secure Huo’s fortune 15 63.
• Tang Ya — Welcomes his avatar into the Tang Sect; he later exploits her resentment and forcibly controls her 57 116.
• Tang Hao and A Zhu — His parents, as identified by the Plane Will. A Zhu invokes Tang San’s divine status when threatened 121 122 123.
• Zhongli Wu — Names the avatar Blood Silver Saint Son and permits his proposed infiltration of Shrek, unaware that Tang San intends to use the cult 48.
