Long Hengxu's voice was somewhat cold, but none of them objected to his words.

In the office, after they had briefly reconstructed what had happened, Long Hengxu gave Li Qingxun a long look.

The anger had vanished from his face, replaced by a hint of admiration. "They were both at the second ring, and they ambushed you, yet they still couldn't beat you."

"And even after they used a Martial Soul Fusion Skill, you took them down with a single sword strike."

"Ah, the Heavenly Snow Woman Martial Soul truly lives up to its name. So does the legendary Ultimate Martial Soul."

Long Hengxu sighed. The strength of that Martial Soul had genuinely shocked him.

For an ordinary person, holding their own against someone at the same level was already impressive, let alone facing a Martial Soul Fusion Skill.

The strength the boy before him had displayed had truly stunned him.

Compared with a genius like this, the other matters, though they still mattered, seemed less important.

In the end, no formal judgment was made about the incident.

After all, although Wang Jinxi and the others had attacked first, the three of them had been beaten far too badly.

All three had ended up in the hospital. They would need at least a month to recover.

Even if Li Qingxun had acted in self-defense, he had gone too far.

But this was, after all, a world of Soul Masters. Once Li Qingxun had shown his talent, Long Hengxu had all but decided to protect him.

Ye Yingluo was naturally unhappy about that, but beyond expressing her displeasure, there was nothing she could do.

In the Combat Training Room, Xie Xie waited, utterly baffled.

When the clock reached seven, he looked at Gu Yue in confusion.

"Didn't we say we'd start at six-thirty? Gu Yue, it's already seven. How about we head out? Maybe something came up for them."

Xie Xie looked puzzled as he spoke. Normally, training would have started long ago.

This time, though, not only was Teacher Wu absent, but Tang Wulin, Wang Jinxi, and Zhang Yangzi had not arrived either.

It was strange, even unsettling.

Gu Yue glanced at Xie Xie. A trace of hesitation flashed in her eyes.

But in the end, she nodded. She also felt that something was wrong.

She did not intend to wait any longer. Just as the two of them were about to leave, Tang Wulin, Wu Changkong, and Li Qingxun walked in.

Seeing them enter side by side, Gu Yue glanced at the clock. Once she confirmed it was seven, she turned straight to Wu Changkong.

"Teacher Wu, you're late. We agreed on six-thirty. Why did you keep us waiting until now?"

There was a questioning edge to Gu Yue's voice. Xie Xie looked at Wu Changkong too.

Meeting their questioning gazes, Wu Changkong wore an odd expression for a moment.

He said nothing, however. He walked past them and strode into the Combat Training Room.

He turned, still wearing his usual white trench coat, and looked calmly at Li Qingxun.

"Ultimate Ice, the Heavenly Snow Woman Martial Soul, that terrifying talent of yours, and the trump card you're holding back... I'm not surprised you defeated those three."

"And I can tell you didn't go all out. Show me how strong you really are."

As Wu Changkong spoke, he fixed his gaze on Li Qingxun and forcibly suppressed his Soul Power Level to the second ring.

Li Qingxun looked at Wu Changkong after seeing him suppress his Soul Power to the second ring. He said nothing, only nodded.

Tang Wulin stood silently off to the side, his right hand gently covering his left.

Gu Yue frowned when she noticed his gesture.

She stepped forward and gave Tang Wulin a questioning look.

But Tang Wulin only shook his head.

"I'm fine. Just a minor injury. It's nothing serious." He managed a strained smile for Gu Yue.

Gu Yue immediately turned her gaze to Li Qingxun.

She could sense that a terrifying chill still lingered within Tang Wulin's body.

It was easy enough to tell where that chill had come from.

Realizing that Li Qingxun had injured Tang Wulin, Gu Yue's eyes cooled slightly.

She said nothing, though, and simply stood there in silence.

By then, Wu Changkong and Li Qingxun had already begun fighting.

Li Qingxun stepped forward, the Heavenly Snow Woman pressing in alongside him.

Terrifying cold gathered in his palm, and his icy power collided with the wooden staff in Wu Changkong's hand.

Their powers clashed. Even protected by Wu Changkong's Soul Power, the staff shattered after only a few exchanges.

Sensing the strength of the boy's icy power, Wu Changkong finally showed a flicker of interest.

He raised his hand, and the third Soul Ring on the Frost Sword glowed faintly.

Sensing Wu Changkong raise his power to the third ring, Li Qingxun wasted no words.

His Second Soul Ring lit up again. An ice-and-snow sword formed, radiating immense power.

The terrifying sword shot forward in an instant, piercing through the air like a streak of light.

Wu Changkong raised his hand, and the Frost Sword in his grip suddenly expanded.

The enormous Frost Sword slammed into the ice-and-snow sword, their powers crashing together.

Ice and snow intertwined. Yet to Li Qingxun's surprise, he was the one who lost.

His seemingly indestructible ice-and-snow sword shattered in an instant, though a huge notch appeared in Wu Changkong's greatsword as well.

Seeing his Soul Skill broken, Wu Changkong finally lost his calm expression.

"Not bad. Very good, in fact. Even I'm shocked by the strength of that Soul Skill."

"With my six-ring cultivation behind it, my Soul Skill is inherently much stronger than yours."

"And yet all I managed was a draw. Once you reach the sixth ring, I definitely won't be your match."

Wu Changkong shook his head as he spoke. He knew his own strength well.

The boy's power astonished him. After all, his own talent was among the best in all of Shrek Academy.

Yet at this age, apart from his relatively low Soul Power Level, the boy before him was practically a monster in every respect.

Wu Changkong's praise was sincere, but Li Qingxun merely smiled calmly.

His expression did not change. He tilted his head slightly and looked toward Gu Yue, who had been watching him all along.

Their gazes met, and he sensed the hostility coming from her.

Li Qingxun grew much more wary. Of everyone here, Gu Yue had hidden the most.

She had more trump cards than anyone else. After all, she was the true Silver Dragon King.

And by injuring Tang Wulin earlier, he had clearly angered her.

Li Qingxun was not too concerned, though. He knew the entire timeline.

He understood that Gu Yue cared so much about Tang Wulin not because she truly loved him.

It was because of Bloodline Attraction.

That strange Bloodline Attraction was like a curse clinging to the bone.

It could neither be severed nor avoided.

With her thoughts under its influence, it was only natural that Gu Yue did not want Tang Wulin hurt.

Still, a fight between him and Gu Yue might be unavoidable.
