Power Progression
The stages below track access to Fantasy Power through Li Qingxun’s cultivation, rather than a separate cultivation rank for the power itself.
| Stage / Realm / Level | Chapter | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Early awakening / first-ring stage | 1 2 5 | Li Qingxun awakens and can create Wu Liuqi and his weapon. Before reaching the second ring, Simulation is limited to Sequence 9 powers. |
| Soul Power level 20 / second-ring stage | 5 | After consuming ten Mystic Water Pills and erasing their poison and excess medicinal power, Li advances from level 19 to level 20. Simulation expands to Sequence 8, and the Fantasy Dragon unlocks its second Authority, Reality Distortion. |
| Temporary use beyond the normal Sequence 8 limit | 18 19 | Li forcibly simulates a Sequence 7 Darkness-pathway ability to enter Gu Yue’s dream, then uses a simulated Hypnotist ability to suppress an outside influence. This is a costly overextension, not a documented permanent advancement. |
Background / History
Fantasy does not belong to the Douluo world. Ten thousand years before Li Qingxun’s awakening, its laws were combined with the Snow Empress and Ice Empress’s accumulated Ten-Thousand-Year Ice Marrow to hide his true body from detection throughout the intervening era 1 2.
The world’s laws prevented his earlier clone’s Fantasy Dragon Martial Soul from fully awakening. Li Qingxun’s true body possesses the Fantasy Dragon and its Divine Kingdom, Miracle City, but both remain incompletely restored after his return. The Divine Realm’s departure reduces the restrictions imposed on his abilities without eliminating the world’s remaining constraints 1 4 12.
Abilities & Skills
Simulation
The Fantasy Dragon’s first Authority reproduces powers from other paths, allowing Li Qingxun to use them briefly when the simulation succeeds 5.
- Normal limits: Sequence 9 before the second ring; Sequence 8 after reaching it 5.
- Dream entry: A forcibly simulated Sequence 7 Darkness-pathway ability draws Gu Yue’s consciousness into a dream where she can speak clearly 18.
- Hypnosis: A simulated Hypnotist ability makes Gu Yue forget the influence controlling her for five or six days. The foreign power remains inside her rather than being removed 19.
- Historical application: Li Qingxun’s earlier clone wielded the Authority of Error through the Fantasy Dragon to steal the God of Emotion’s divine seat 17.
Reality Distortion
Also described as Impossibility, this second Authority twists reality’s rules and physical laws to make otherwise impossible outcomes occur 5.
- Object manipulation: Li demonstrates it by making a cup appear, restoring it after it shatters, and making it disappear 5.
- Combat reversal: His ice sword should lose to Gu Yue’s Ice-Fire Windstorm, which combines three Ultimate Attributes. Reality Distortion reverses that outcome, allowing the sword to destroy the storm and pierce her shoulder 10 19.
- Mental intervention: The altered outcome briefly helps Gu Yue recover part of her consciousness. Li later redirects her uncontrolled killing intent to prevent her from attacking him 18 19.
- System access: Combined with a key and a breach in the Spirit Ascension Platform, it lets Li send his consciousness into the platform’s underlying code 23.
Clone Creation
Fantasy Power gives form to individuals who should not exist in the Douluo world 2.
- Wu Liuqi / Seven: Created with two souls in one body. Li also manifests an illusory purple blade and fuses it into him, producing four Soul Rings—two yellow and two purple 2.
- Toji Fushiguro: Created as a physically focused operative whose strength is less hindered by Martial Soul restrictions 12.
- Independent consciousness: Ordinary clones retain their own judgment and personalities; absolute loyalty does not guarantee enthusiasm or suitability for every assignment 12 13.
- Revival: Dead clones can be brought back after Li accumulates sufficient Fantasy Power 12 15.
- Transport: Li erases Toji from his immediate location and transports him outside Eastsea City 12.
Creation, Purification, and Concealment
- Alchemy apparatus: Li’s earlier clone creates an otherwise nonexistent Alchemy Furnace with Fantasy Power. Its Four Symbols Power can enhance pills 4 20.
- Pill purification: Fantasy Power reveals and erases pill poison and excess medicinal power inside Li’s body 5.
- Identity fabrication: Li twists perceptions and rewrites memories to obtain an identity card in the new era 2.
- Soul Ring disguise: Fantasy Power briefly reveals the Heavenly Snow Woman’s two rings as orange before concealing them as yellow again 5.
- Escape preparation: Li leaves Fantasy Power with Toji as an emergency resource intended to get him out if the Tang Sect raid goes wrong 16.
Spiritual Augmentation
Fantasy Power infuses Li Qingxun’s spiritual strength, raising its effectiveness beyond ordinary spiritual power 22.
- By the second-ring stage, his spiritual power has reached the Spirit Sea Realm and can easily locate Tang Wulin, Gu Yue, and Xie Xie inside the Spirit Ascension Platform 22.
- The Fantasy Dragon also lets him grasp the general direction of another person’s thoughts, though not read them completely 5.
- The platform’s sleep-inducing pull barely affects him; he deliberately submits to it to keep his abilities hidden 22.
Costs & Limitations
- Physical and mental exhaustion: Creating Wu Liuqi’s blade leaves Li pale and fatigued. Creating Toji nearly empties his accumulated Fantasy Power and badly depletes his mental strength 2 12.
- Recovery time: After the later interventions, Li still needs several more days before he can create another clone 22.
- Overextension: Sequence 7 simulation drains power far faster than normal. During the subsequent hypnosis, Li trembles and cracks spread across the manifested Fantasy Dragon 18 19.
- World-law restrictions: Created characters’ powers are generally converted into Martial Souls and constrained accordingly. At Li’s current stage, their strength is roughly equivalent to two or three more Soul Rings than his own 12.
- Creation overlap: There is no stated fixed total limit on clone creation, but creating another version of an existing character would overlap with the original and consume another creation 12.
- Resource demand: Restoring the Fantasy Dragon requires vastly more cultivation resources than an ordinary person needs, driving Li to use his creations to acquire supplies 15.
