While the people of Douluo Continent were still arguing over Giant Wheat and questioning whether it was real,
the Sky Screen's voice rang out once more, and its images changed.
[The second reason ordinary people on Huaxia Star lived for a thousand years: all people were born equal. No one stood above anyone else.]
"Even gods were equal to mortals."
The words that the gods considered blasphemous rang across Douluo Star and Huaxia Star.
In the Divine Realm, the proud gods watching the Sky Screen could no longer contain themselves!
"Fools! It's beyond belief that such a foolish planet could exist."
"How could we gods be lumped together with lowly mortals? What a joke."
"If you ask me, that planet won't last much longer."
A trace of anger crossed the God King of Goodness's cool face.
For all her kindness, even she would never have said what the Sky Screen had said, let alone the other gods.
Not one of them accepted its words. They opposed them fiercely, even hated them.
Some of the gods were already itching for battle.
"If that world holds gods in such contempt, there's no reason to let it remain."
"Prepare yourselves. When that planet reaches Douluo Star, we'll shatter it ourselves."
The gods unanimously approved the Asura God King's proposal. Destroying a planet, along with the countless mortals upon it, did not trouble them in the slightest.
In the Divine Realm, the gods began discussing how to destroy all of Huaxia Star.
On Douluo Continent, the unrest stirred by the Sky Screen was spreading.
Many commoners who had seen Giant Wheat and longed for an end to hunger now saw something else they had pursued all their lives.
"All people were born equal. How could anyone not yearn for that?"
Across Douluo Continent, commoners in countless cities stared wide-eyed at the screen, especially those at the bottom who had awakened Martial Souls.
A lifetime of bullying and exploitation erupted in a surge of excitement unlike anything they had felt before.
They gazed at the Sky Screen, unable to keep from losing themselves in the scenes of Huaxia Star.
On Huaxia Star, every person was granted citizenship in the Huaxia Federation from birth!
No one stood above anyone else, and there was no such thing as noble status!
In those scenes, the Huaxia Federation's Soul Masters did not fight one another over petty conflicts or gains!
With equality, turmoil across Huaxia Star had been brought entirely under control.
Naturally, ordinary people's lifespans had soared. This was a system of peace that truly belonged to Huaxia Star!
As the scenes unfolded alongside the Sky Screen's explanation,
many low-ranking Soul Masters also saw what life was like for their counterparts on Huaxia Star.
They did not need to fear oppression by higher-ranking Soul Masters, or the existence of nobles.
No exploitation, no oppression—what a beautiful life!
How could they not long for it?
In barren villages and bustling towns alike,
ordinary people and low-ranking Soul Masters gazed at the Sky Screen with longing in their eyes and murmured to themselves.
"Could we ever live in such a golden age?"
"Why must nobles exist? Why must we be oppressed?"
"The truth shows us that perhaps we don't need nobles or exploitation at all!"
Thoughts like these awakened in the minds of countless commoners and low-ranking Soul Masters as the scenes played across the Sky Screen.
Even the ordinary people of Douluo Continent, many of them unable to read a single word and resigned to spending their lives with the sun on their backs and their faces to the soil, felt the flame of equality kindle in their hearts!
And that was only Douluo Continent. On the Sun Moon Continent,
the Sun Moon Empire had already developed thriving handicrafts and commerce through its use of Soul Tools.
In the eyes of the common folk who had suffered at the hands of nobles, high-ranking Soul Masters, and Soul Engineers, the light of equality began to shine.
"Perhaps we, too, could build an equal world of our own!"
"That would be a world truly ours, fairer and more beautiful than any other."
Across Douluo Star, the Sky Screen carried sparks of equality into the eyes of countless people on both continents.
But among the powers standing at the pinnacle of Douluo Continent, the system shown on Huaxia Star drew very different reactions!
The Sky Screen's voice continued, explaining how equality had come to Huaxia Star!
[Since the founding of the Huaxia Federation, every Huaxia citizen has held equal status, and all have enjoyed every right granted by the Huaxia Federation!] [No one may arbitrarily strip any Huaxia citizen of their equal rights!]
As those words rang out in Spirit Hall,
Bibi Dong, Qian Daoliu, and the rest of its leadership suddenly felt like failures.
Look at what the Huaxia Federation had done. Look at the lives its citizens led.
And what had Spirit Hall been doing all these years? How had they still not achieved even half the equality Huaxia Star spoke of?
A crushing sense of shame filled Bibi Dong's mind, leaving her too embarrassed to speak.
Chrysanthemum Douluo Yue Guan, however, was already deeply drawn to the equality of Huaxia Star.
For a man who yearned for perfection, that purity was exactly what he wanted.
"Such a wonderful system! A golden age that those of us who seek perfection can only dream of."
"From now on, Spirit Hall will strive for this too. We'll create a world even more perfect than theirs."
Yue Guan's resolute words set everyone around him ablaze with determination!
Their blood surged, and every member of Spirit Hall's leadership began to rediscover the dream they had once held!
Even Bibi Dong was no exception. Madwoman though she was, she too yearned fiercely for equality.
"If Spirit Hall needs a goal, then the Huaxia Federation is right before our eyes!"
Confident in themselves, the members of Spirit Hall took the Huaxia Federation as the goal they would strive toward!
Only some people remained stubborn, even now.
At Shrek Academy, the Shrek Seven Devils were still absorbing the reality of equality they had seen on Huaxia Star through the Sky Screen.
Longing nearly spilled from Zhu Zhuqing's eyes.
But just as she imagined herself becoming one of those people, Yu Xiaogang began railing against everything before him as though his parents had just died.
"No respect for your elders! Equality? What a joke."
"Without nobles, how are mere commoners supposed to govern a country? With people who can't even read?"
"I'd say this Huaxia Federation is one thing on the surface and another behind the scenes."
Yu Xiaogang pointed out what he saw as flaws in Huaxia Star's system, basing his judgment on the state of Douluo Star.
And as he spoke, Ma Hongjun and Oscar, though commoners themselves, instinctively agreed with him!
Neither had been able to read a word. If they had not studied at Shrek Academy all these years, they would have gone home to work the fields long ago!
Hearing Yu Xiaogang's words, they looked at him in agreement.
"That's right. Grandmaster's right!"
"I'd say Huaxia Star is no different after all. It's just hiding its darkness."
But just as Ma Hongjun and Oscar spoke,
the Sky Screen sounded again, revealing another reason for the longer lifespans—one that would leave all of Douluo Star reeling!
