Background / History
Arrival at Shrek City
Wu Feng accompanies Ning Tian to Shrek City for the academy’s entrance examination. Their goal is to display their talents, enter the Inner Court, and find a powerful expert capable of protecting their declining sect. When Ning Tian considers marriage as a means of securing that protection, Wu Feng objects vehemently. She insists that any prospective husband must defeat her first and declares that she would accompany Ning Tian in the marriage if it would keep her from being mistreated 3.
Confrontation with Xiao Dong
At the city gate, Xiao Dong turns Wu Feng’s declaration into a crude challenge. She steps in front of Ning Tian and prepares to attack; his subsequent insults toward Ning Rongrong and the Sea God provoke her into throwing a fiery punch. The blow cannot penetrate his Biological Force Field, and the recoil sends her staggering seven or eight steps before Ning Tian catches her 4 5.
Still resentful, Wu Feng follows Xiao Dong at Ning Tian’s insistence. Ning Tian believes his knowledge of their sect’s bloodline decline may be valuable and forbids retaliation through the sect. Wu Feng eagerly expects Zhou Yi to punish him, only to be stunned when the feared teacher suppresses her anger and takes him away privately 6 7.
Enrollment and Forced Service
After completing enrollment, Wu Feng persuades Ning Tian to follow Zhou Yi and investigate her connection to Xiao Dong. They witness the teacher’s unexpected obedience and continue trailing the pair onto the secluded Ancient Forest Path. Xiao Dong, who has detected them from the outset, calls them out and prevents them from leaving 13 14.
Xiao Dong declares that they will become his maids and sends the Purifying Lotus Demon Flame into their seas of consciousness. It burns away their hostility, wariness, and defiance, imposing obedience rather than gaining their voluntary allegiance. He then orders both women to use the sect’s influence to purchase the medicinal herbs on his list and departs for the Star Dou Great Forest 14 15.

Her boldness includes boastful confidence and a strong appetite for gossip. Shortly after enrollment, she promises to sweep aside the other freshmen, then invents an extravagant theory that Zhou Yi has arranged Xiao Dong’s execution. Her curiosity helps draw both friends into the pursuit that ends in their capture 13.
The flame-induced submission does not eliminate her confusion or tendency to speculate. After receiving the herb list, she wonders whether Xiao Dong is an Alchemy Grandmaster 15.
