History

Rescue of Zhang Lexuan’s Expedition

Li Bai, Zhao Huaizhen, Yun Ying, Kai, and Cai Wenji encounter Zhang Lexuan’s expedition in the Star Dou Great Forest during what Cai calls a casual team outing to build jungle-blade stacks. The Shrek group has been devastated by the Hundred-Thousand-Year Blood Moon Wolf King. Li Bai restrains the beast while Zhao and Cai heal the survivors 6.

Before killing the wolf, Li Bai considers Shrek’s agreement against indiscriminate hunting of Hundred-Thousand-Year Soul Beasts. Because the wolf attacked the students first, he treats the kill as defensible and obtains Zhang Lexuan’s permission. His victory forces her to reassess the agency’s hidden strength 7 8.

Cai Wenji’s report of a powerful old man sleeping drunk nearby leads Zhang Lexuan to identify her missing protector as Xuan Zi. Encounter with Madara Uchiha
