Background / History

Uncle Fu was taken in and raised by the Azure Bamboo clan. He later served as its steward and recruited talented commoner Soul Masters on its behalf 1 7. When Spirit Hall attacked the clan, Mo An’s father sent Uncle Fu and his infant son through a secret passage while he stayed behind to delay the attackers 1.

Uncle Fu took Mo An to North Sea City, where he used his savings and medical skills to open the Azure Bamboo Pharmacy. He raised Mo An there for six years, publicly presenting himself as the boy’s grandfather 1 7. His hatred of Spirit Hall led him to hire a private Soul Master for Mo An’s Martial Soul awakening rather than use Spirit Hall’s free service 1.

After Mo An awakened Innate Full Soul Power, Uncle Fu gave him the Azure Jade Ring containing the belongings his father had left for him. He urged Mo An not to endanger himself seeking revenge, explaining that his parents had wanted him to live safely 2. He then helped Mo An prepare for academy through medicinal baths, physical training, and an official awakening certificate 3 6.

Uncle Fu supported Mo An’s decision to join the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Sect after reading his research. When Mo An left North Sea City, Uncle Fu stayed behind: both feared that his presence at the sect could be used to pressure Mo An 12 17.
