"I'll book you a room," Silei said. "There's a hotel right across from the hospital."

"No." Xu Ruyi shook her head. "I'm going home."

"To Orange Town? But it's so late—"

"No, my home in Songxueyuan," Xu Ruyi said softly. "I haven't been back in a long time..."

"That isn't a good idea. Your husband knows your address here too. What if he—"

"Not the home I shared with him. I mean my mother's home," Xu Ruyi said quietly. "He doesn't have the key to that place... Don't worry. I really do want to go back and take a look."

"But it's so late—"

"I'll come find you again tomorrow afternoon, all right?" Xu Ruyi looked at Silei. "Today... I really am not in the right state of mind. I need somewhere quiet to rest properly and get a good night's sleep..."

Silei escorted Xu Ruyi outside. As she watched Xu Ruyi's back about to vanish into the snowstorm, she suddenly ran after her, asked for her address, and they exchanged phone numbers.

"What time will you come tomorrow? What time in the afternoon?"

"Uh... probably before two?"
