Ch. 301Time-Turner! The Hyperbolic Time Chamber

Key plot points

  • As the Hongchen siblings return to Shrek Academy, Xiao Hongchen warns Meng that Virtue Hall may be connected to a powerful Evil Soul Master organization. He reflects on how Lu Yi’s choices during their tournament duel prevented the rivalry between the academies from escalating into deadly revenge.
  • Lu Yi studies the Time-Turner’s rules: it can send someone back up to five hours, but users must avoid being seen by their past selves or changing major events. Misuse could cause temporal disturbances; users also continue to age during the extra time.
  • Seeing the device as a way to ease his group’s lack of time for training, Lu Yi designs a secure underground cultivation facility with one-way doors and tightly controlled entry.
  • He tests the arrangement with Cao Jinxuan, traveling back one hour and using the facility’s separate routes to avoid meeting his earlier self. The test succeeds, though Cao’s time-related Martial Soul shows no response.
  • Lu Yi establishes strict entry times and gathers Ning Tian, Xiao Xiao, Zhou Sichen, Cao Jinxuan, and Nana to begin using the facility. He names it the Hyperbolic Time Chamber and prepares to use the Time-Turner with the group.

Character developments and interactions

  • Xiao has become more reflective and measured. He recognizes that Lu Yi’s restraint helped avert a catastrophe, and values him as a friend rather than an enemy.
  • Meng sees how much her brother has changed, teasing him for sounding like a sage; their serious conversation ends in familiar sibling banter.
  • Lu Yi remains inventive and practical, turning the Time-Turner’s risks and limits into a carefully controlled training plan.
  • Cao readily helps with Lu Yi’s experiment but is puzzled by the many one-way doors. Lu Yi, meanwhile, privately wonders why Cao’s Martial Soul did not react to the Time-Turner.
  • The gathered students are confused by the basement’s rules and by the muffled voice inside, but Lu Yi keeps the explanation for the reveal.

Significant themes

  • Restraint prevents cycles of revenge: Lu Yi’s choices in the tournament balanced both teams’ emotions and helped keep a contest from becoming a feud.
  • Family and self-preservation: Xiao now places family and personal safety above institutional honor.
  • Time, effort, and trade-offs: The Time-Turner offers more training hours, but at the cost of aging normally and requiring careful safeguards.
  • Trust and controlled experimentation: Lu Yi’s plan depends on discipline, cooperation, and limiting contact with the outside world.

Ch. 302Tournament Plans

Key plot points and events

  • After more than half a year with the Ministry of Magic, Nana feels she has found a true home and is deeply grateful to Lu Yi. He assigns her to work with Ning Tian, helping her build management skills.
  • Lu Yi investigates Nana’s slowing cultivation and discovers that years of cheap, heavily used medicines have left harmful residue in her body. A Mystic Water Pill forces her to expel it painfully, briefly lowering her cultivation, but subsequent doses clear the remaining impurities and greatly improve her growth.
  • Lu Yi brings Nana to the other house, where Xiao Xiao, Ning Tian, Zhou Sichen, and Cao Jinxuan have just experienced more than four hours of cultivation while only about half a minute passed outside. Lu Yi reveals the time-altering secret and asks Nana to help protect it.
  • He tells Nana she can compete in the next tournament and promises to help her obtain a Soul Spirit. The tournament is expected to allow sects to enter, so the Ministry of Magic can participate independently. Lu Yi sees it as a chance to showcase Soul Spirits, though he has not decided whether to enter under the Ministry’s or Spirit Pagoda’s name.
  • Ning Tian doubts her Nine Treasures Glazed Tile Sect will compete, given its cautious priorities and limited prospects. She wants to fight alongside Lu Yi and prove herself.
  • Ning Tian suggests adding Wu Feng to Lu Yi’s team to strengthen its front line. Lu Yi considers the idea, while also thinking through the roster, substitutes, and the possibility that the Tang Sect may enter separately.

Character developments and interactions

  • Nana has moved from fear and deprivation to trust, gratitude, and renewed ambition. Learning that she can compete and receive a Soul Spirit overwhelms her, and she vows to guard the Ministry’s secret.
  • Lu Yi supports Nana’s recovery and future, entrusts her with sensitive information, and plans strategically for the tournament. He balances loyalty to his people with practical concerns about team composition.
  • Ning Tian is confident in her judgment of her sect and committed to the Ministry’s team. Her request to include Wu Feng shows concern for a former sect ally.
  • Xiao Xiao is exhilarated by the time effect and helps reveal how astonishing the experience was to Nana.
  • Zhou Sichen and Cao Jinxuan share in the time-room revelation; their developing abilities, along with those of the others, factor into Lu Yi’s tournament plans.

Significant themes

  • Found family and belonging: Nana’s sense of home comes from the Ministry’s kindness rather than blood ties.
  • Healing and second chances: Clearing the effects of Nana’s past drug use restores her prospects and lets her pursue a goal she had nearly lost.
  • Trust and loyalty: Lu Yi’s confidence in Nana is reciprocated by her willingness to protect the Ministry’s secret.
  • Power, preparation, and opportunity: Time manipulation, Soul Spirits, and careful recruitment give the young team a chance to overcome age and experience gaps.
  • Competition as strategy: The tournament is both a contest and a public platform for Lu Yi to promote Soul Spirits, while the empire’s rules may serve broader political aims.

Ch. 303Ravenclaw's Diadem! The Soul Aperture Opening Method

Chapter Summary

  • Expanded training through the Time-Turner: Lu Yi used the Hyperbolic Time Chamber to make more room for teaching, research, and cultivation. He required quiet study inside the chamber, while members could spar and practice outside. Ye Guyi joined the group, focusing mainly on combat and only learning to use Soul Tools suited to her. In sparring, she consistently overwhelmed Nana, revealing the gap in their physical advantages and, especially, Ye Guyi’s experience and resolve from fighting Evil Soul Masters.
  • Combat practice and rapid progress: Lu Yi arranged regular matches among his core members and with Tang Sect members Bei Bei and Xu Sanshi. The pair came to recognize how difficult Lu Yi was to fight: his silent attacks and repeatedly usable, long-range Instantaneous Movement made him exceptionally hard to counter. Meanwhile, they noticed Lu Yi’s students were advancing unusually quickly, though they did not realize the Time-Turner had caused many of them to age faster as well.
  • The Spirit Pagoda takes shape: The Pagoda’s main structure and surrounding infrastructure were completed, and interior work began. Lu Yi’s Magic Professor quest also reached its target when ten students mastered all four foundational subjects. The reward was Ravenclaw’s Diadem, which Lu Yi confirmed contained no lingering soul. Wearing it sharpened his concentration and reasoning, though its effect was more like a powerful Wisdom Potion than the near-miraculous wisdom of legend.
  • Plans for the Spirit Pagoda’s operation: With Magic instruction continuing, Lu Yi began selecting about thirty promising members to train as Spirit Transmitters. He also outlined the need for Soul Beast caretakers, registration staff, specialists to match Soul Beasts with Soul Masters, and reviewers to approve pairings. The Pagoda would need these systems—and a reliable supply of suitable Soul Beasts—before it could operate at scale.
  • Other developments: Lu Yi successfully brewed a Vampire Suppressant for Xiao Ding, reducing his blood craving enough that he could eat ordinary food. Xiao Ding also used Lu Yi’s instructions to make a working Wand, demonstrating his suitability for the Ministry’s secret Wand-making work.
  • The next stage of Lu Yi’s cultivation: Just as Lu Yi reached the level-sixty Soul Power bottleneck, Electrolux told him it was time to begin preparing to open his Soul Apertures.

Character Developments and Themes

Lu Yi continues to balance teaching, research, organizational planning, and cultivation, using his resources to build both his team and the Ministry. Ye Guyi’s combat experience contrasts with Nana’s relative lack of battle-hardened courage, while Xiao Ding’s steady progress gives him a meaningful role in the Ministry. The chapter emphasizes disciplined development, the value of practical experience, the consequences of accelerated time, and the challenge of turning a powerful institution into a functioning organization.

Ch. 304Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well

Plot points and events

  • Elder Yi explains the difference between Soul Cores and Soul Apertures. Apertures can be opened earlier, absorb and convert varied forms of energy, and replenish Soul Power, but store less than a Core.
  • Elder Yi says the changes he made to Lu Yi’s body during the Gold of Life fusion—especially around his heart—will help Lu Yi open his first Soul Aperture. Lu Yi’s Soul Power is not yet fully liquid, so he decides to seek help from the Immortal Herbs at the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well.
  • Lu Yi suspects Tang San has surrounded the well with poisonous plants not simply to protect the herbs, but to keep others away from the remains of the Fire and Water Dragon Kings.
  • Believing his ultimate fire and status as the Child of Nature will help him pass the miasma and gain the plant Soul Beasts’ trust, Lu Yi prepares carefully and sets out for Sunset Forest.
  • Before leaving, he entrusts Ning Tian with the Time-Turner and responsibility for maintaining training and operations at the newly built Spirit Pagoda. He keeps his destination secret because of the danger.
  • In Sunset Forest, Lu Yi sees how badly the forest has declined: powerful Soul Beasts are scarce, and the outskirts are littered with carcasses. He finds the immense rainbow-colored poisonous fog surrounding the well.
  • Rather than use Fiendfyre, which could devastate the forest, Lu Yi tests the fog’s corrosion and confirms that Protective Charms help. Layering magical and Soul Tool shields, he enters the poisonous cloud.

Character developments and interactions

  • Lu Yi shows confidence in his cultivation plans but remains methodical and cautious. He considers the ecological consequences of his power before choosing a safer way through the fog.
  • Elder Yi acts as Lu Yi’s mentor, explaining the cultivation method and revealing how his earlier bodily modifications will aid the process.
  • Ning Tian wants to accompany Lu Yi, recalling his promise, but accepts his instructions. She is trusted to manage training while he is away.
  • Lu Yi is attentive to the younger cultivators’ progress: several teammates are stalled at Soul Ring bottlenecks, and he hopes to find them suitable Soul Spirits rather than settle immediately for ordinary Soul Rings.

Significant themes

  • Cultivation and innovation: Soul Apertures represent a new path to greater strength, one Lu Yi must develop through his own effort.
  • Preparation and responsibility: Lu Yi balances ambition with caution and ensures his team can function in his absence.
  • Power and environmental harm: Tang San’s defenses have poisoned and depleted an entire forest; Lu Yi’s refusal to unleash Fiendfyre highlights the cost of unchecked power.
  • Trust and opportunity: Lu Yi believes his bond with nature will let him approach plant Soul Beasts where others could not.

Ch. 305Immortal Herbs

Key plot points and events

  • Lu Yi searches the poisonous fog for the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well, flying above the ground for speed. The Jade Phosphorus Nine Absolute Flowers attack him, forcing him to clear a path.
  • He uses ultimate-level Lava Flame to burn the plants and destroy much of the poisonous haze, then splits the fire with Fiendfyre so it does not become uncontrollable. The surviving flowers stop resisting.
  • Following the distribution of the poisonous plants, Lu Yi crosses a vine-covered ridge and discovers a secluded valley. Its atmosphere neutralizes the poison on his shield.
  • The valley is rich with powerful Heaven and Earth Essence and valuable herbs, with the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well at its center. Lu Yi recognizes several famous Immortal Herbs, including the Infernal Delicate Apricot, Octagonal Mysterious Ice Grass, and Aromatic Silk Beauty.
  • He considers the Aromatic Silk Beauty’s potential to help Ning Tian evolve her Martial Soul, but concludes she cannot yet safely absorb a hundred-thousand-year Soul Spirit. He has withheld this possibility rather than give her hope she cannot act on.
  • Lu Yi approaches the sleeping Aromatic Silk Beauty and reveals his life-filled green Soul Ring. The flower begins to warn him off, then recognizes him as the “Child of Nature.”

Character developments and interactions

  • Lu Yi shows confidence and control: he responds to danger with powerful magic, but carefully limits the spread of his flames. He is also cautious about risks and thoughtful about Ning Tian’s hopes and physical limitations.
  • Lu Yi and the Jade Phosphorus Nine Absolute Flowers: the plants initially attack him, but retreat once his flames prove overwhelming.
  • Lu Yi and the Aromatic Silk Beauty: their first exchange is interrupted by the flower’s recognition of Lu Yi, suggesting his nature may change the encounter.
  • Lu Yi and Ning Tian: though absent, she shapes his choices. He understands the potential benefit the herb offers her, but keeps quiet because she cannot yet use it safely.

Significant themes

  • Power balanced by restraint: Lu Yi can overpower the poisonous plants, but must control his fire to avoid creating a greater threat.
  • Nature’s danger and abundance: the poisonous fog is lethal, while the protected valley holds extraordinary life and medicinal wealth.
  • Hope tempered by responsibility: Lu Yi withholds knowledge about the Aromatic Silk Beauty because an unusable promise could hurt Ning Tian more than help her.

Ch. 306Full Moon Wearing Autumn Dew: A Trial He Asked to Take!

Key plot points and events

  • At the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well, Lu Yi’s green Soul Ring awakens the surrounding Immortal Herbs’ attention. The Aromatic Silk Beauty introduces herself as Youyou and explains that her toxin-neutralizing fragrance protects the valley.
  • Youyou recognizes Lu Yi as the Child of Nature and asks whether he came to claim a book left by a man’s descendants. Lu Yi says he arrived by chance and is not seeking the book or bound by the man’s rules.
  • Although Youyou says he can skip the trials, Lu Yi chooses to take one, noting his interest in mental strength. Youyou selects the Full Moon Wearing Autumn Dew. Lu Yi drinks its dew, and the herb withers.
  • The dew greatly improves Lu Yi’s eyesight and mental strength, letting him perceive fine details and filter visual information more effectively.
  • Youyou gives Lu Yi access to the Poison Scripture, reasoning that he has passed its character trial and is unlikely to fear the strength trial. She asks him to return the original after reading it. Lu Yi magically makes a copy, returns the original, and keeps the copy.
  • Youyou reveals that she hopes Lu Yi will help the Immortal Herbs survive their coming heavenly tribulations. Their accelerated growth means several face tribulation within roughly a century. Lu Yi cannot promise help so far in advance, but says he will come if he is able.
  • Youyou then offers Lu Yi the chance to choose up to seven Immortal Herbs to take with him.

Character developments and interactions

  • Lu Yi shows honesty and caution: he refuses to make a promise he may not be able to keep, while still offering conditional help. He is also practical, taking advantage of the opportunity to copy the valuable Poison Scripture.
  • Youyou emerges as gentle, trusting, and responsible for the valley. Her concern for the other herbs leads her to flatter Lu Yi and offer him the book, hoping to secure his future aid.
  • Lu Yi and Youyou build trust through candid conversation. Youyou admires Lu Yi and seeks his protection; he responds warmly but maintains clear limits.
  • The Thunderclap Infernal Vine helps explain how Lu Yi learned he was the Child of Nature, impressing Youyou with its age and unusual nature.

Significant themes

  • Trust and responsibility: Youyou’s role as protector drives her concern for the herbs, while Lu Yi takes promises seriously.
  • Power and vulnerability: The Immortal Herbs’ rapid growth has made them powerful in cultivation but poorly prepared for the tribulations ahead.
  • Knowledge and ingenuity: Lu Yi values the Poison Scripture for its botanical and medicinal knowledge, and finds a clever way to preserve it without taking the original.
  • Choice and testing: Lu Yi willingly accepts a trial even when he could avoid it, turning a test meant to measure character into an opportunity for growth.

Ch. 307Lu Yi's Choice! Ice and Fire Body Tempering

Key plot points and events

  • The Immortal Herbs at the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well compete to bond with Lu Yi, each citing how its abilities could strengthen one of his Martial Souls. Their debate also reveals that Lu Yi’s earlier use of the Full Moon Wearing Autumn Dew limits how many more herbs he can safely absorb.
  • Lu Yi decides his primary Wand Martial Soul remains his main focus, while his fire-based Second Martial Soul is a close-combat trump card. He nevertheless sees value in absorbing both the Infernal Delicate Apricot (Jiaojiao) and the Octagonal Mysterious Ice Grass: their fire and ultimate ice could advance his goal of controlling multiple elements.
  • Youyou objects to Jiaojiao’s risky proposal, warning that Lu Yi’s level is far below that of the two hundred-thousand-year herbs and that combining their powers could kill him. Lu Yi explains his preparation and safeguards: his durable body, increased spiritual power, Elder Yi’s supervision, and a contract that preserves the herbs’ souls rather than requiring sacrifice. Youyou relents but warns that sacrifice may be necessary if the fusion goes wrong.
  • Lu Yi prepares to fuse with Jiaojiao, bringing Elder Yi out to oversee the process. After a brief misunderstanding in which Jiaojiao nearly attacks Elder Yi, Lu Yi introduces him as his teacher and creator of Soul Spirits.
  • Before fusion begins, Lu Yi stores Jiaojiao’s Blazing Gel in a crystal box he makes with his Wand. He also decides where to place the herbs’ eventual Soul Bones: Jiaojiao’s in his right arm and Octagonal’s in his left.

Character developments and interactions

  • Lu Yi demonstrates strategic confidence and a willingness to take calculated risks. He explains how ice and fire fit his elemental cultivation path and plans to use the herbs’ powers in combination.
  • Jiaojiao is proud, impatient, and quick-tempered, first boasting that she is the strongest candidate, then persuading Octagonal to join her. She is thrilled when Lu Yi accepts the plan and later apologizes after nearly attacking Elder Yi.
  • Octagonal is shy and initially incredulous, but welcomes the chance to leave the well and bond with Lu Yi.
  • Youyou acts as the herbs’ responsible guardian, prioritizing Lu Yi’s safety over her own chance to bond with him. Her warning checks Jiaojiao’s recklessness.
  • The other Immortal Herbs reveal their distinct ambitions and abilities, but they are left envious when Lu Yi selects Jiaojiao and Octagonal.
  • Elder Yi takes on a supervisory role in the dangerous fusion and calmly accepts Jiaojiao’s apology.

Significant themes

  • Risk balanced by preparation: Lu Yi’s bold choice is supported by careful planning, safeguards, and Elder Yi’s oversight.
  • Cooperation and complementary differences: Fire and ice, normally opposing forces, may work together through Jiaojiao and Octagonal to strengthen Lu Yi’s elemental control.
  • Choice and mutual trust: Lu Yi offers the herbs a Soul Spirit contract that preserves their minds, rather than treating them as fuel to be sacrificed.
  • Ambition and rivalry: The herbs’ competition shows their desire for recognition and a chance to experience the outside world.

Ch. 308The First Soul Aperture! Breaking Through to Soul Saint

Lu Yi merged with Jiaojiao, gained two Hundred Thousand Year Soul Rings and a Soul Aperture, then merged with Octagonal and broke through to become a Soul Saint. The chapter ended with Lu Yi plunging into the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well after discarding his Storage Soul Tools.

  • Lu Yi merged with Jiaojiao, absorbed its right arm bone, and gained a Hundred Thousand Year Soul Ring as Jiaojiao became his Soul Spirit.
  • Lu Yi refined Jiaojiao's ultimate fire and opened his first Soul Aperture, while learning that the Seed of Nature had absorbed some of Jiaojiao's plant energy.
  • Lu Yi rested, ate a fruit from the valley, and prepared to merge with Octagonal despite the risk of the herbs' powers clashing.
  • Lu Yi absorbed Octagonal's left arm bone and merged with Octagonal, whose ultimate ice combined with Jiaojiao's fire inside his body.
  • Lu Yi broke through the level-sixty bottleneck, gained his Sixth and Seventh Soul Rings, and became a Soul Saint before diving into the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well.

Ch. 309Three Soul Cores, Lite Edition! A Unique Martial Soul Avatar

Lu Yi survived merging with Octagonal, opened all three soul apertures, and discovered that his new Martial Soul Avatar could accelerate the growth of immortal herbs. He took Xiangxiang with him to prepare a soul spirit for Ning Tian and headed north to tell the Snow Empress about the Spirit Pagoda’s coming launch.

  • Lu Yi stabilized the conflicting energies of Octagonal and Jiaojiao, then opened his second and third soul apertures at the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well.
  • Lu Yi summoned his Martial Soul Avatar and used Herbivicus to make Jiaojiao and Octagonal’s seeds sprout ahead of schedule.
  • Lu Yi tested his three soul apertures’ rapid recovery and his ability to fly, then asked Youyou to take one more immortal herb with him.
  • Lu Yi persuaded Xiangxiang to become a soul spirit for Ning Tian and sealed her in a prepared box for transport.
  • Lu Yi said farewell to Youyou and the other immortal herbs, donned his Battle Armor, and headed north to inform the Snow Empress and seek aging soul beasts for the Spirit Pagoda.

Ch. 310The Weakened Snow Empress

Lu Yi found the Snow Empress in the Far North and learned that her origin power was rapidly leaking away after she abandoned her original body. He lent her an Octagonal Mysterious Ice Crystal and offered to find ten-thousand-year profound ice marrow, leaving with her promise to guard him and his companions if he succeeded.

  • Lu Yi asked the Titan Snow Demon King for the Snow Empress's location and help finding Soul Beasts nearing the ends of their lives.
  • Lu Yi entered the Snow Empress's ice palace, where she explained that her origin power was escaping and weakening her.
  • Lu Yi showed the Snow Empress the Octagonal Mysterious Ice Crystal, which slowed her loss of origin power.
  • Lu Yi offered to take the Snow Empress to find ten-thousand-year profound ice marrow, and she agreed to leave with him.
  • The Snow Empress promised to guard Lu Yi and his companions if he found the treasure.

Ch. 311The Earth Dragon Sect

Lu Yi traveled to Dragon City to negotiate with Earth Dragon Sect’s Sect Master Nan for access to the ten-thousand-year profound ice marrow, while keeping the ailing Snow Empress hidden in his suitcase. The chapter ended as someone from the rear courtyard challenged Lu Yi’s request to speak directly with the Sect Master.

  • Lu Yi persuaded the Snow Empress to enter his magically expanded suitcase and left the Ice Bear King behind.
  • Lu Yi traveled from the Far North to Dragon City and recalled that the Earth Dragon Sect controlled the land beneath its territory, including the Cold Spring well he sought.
  • Lu Yi entered a clothing shop belonging to the Earth Dragon Sect and asked the shopkeeper to relay his wish to discuss a business deal with Sect Master Nan.
  • A voice from the rear courtyard approached and questioned why Lu Yi’s deal required a meeting with the Sect Master.

Ch. 312Nan Qiuqiu

Lu Yi visited the Earth Dragon Sect to discuss its ancestral property and met Nan Qiuqiu, the young Sect Master, instead of her mother. Nan Qiuqiu challenged him to spar, and Lu Yi proposed a wager before accepting.

  • A young Earth Dragon Sect disciple and the shopkeeper escorted Lu Yi to the sect after he asked to speak with Sect Master Nan.
  • The disciple announced that Sect Master Nan was away, but Nan Qiuqiu could represent the sect.
  • Lu Yi recognized Nan Qiuqiu as the girl who had helped him years earlier, though she did not recognize him.
  • Nan Qiuqiu challenged Lu Yi to a fight in exchange for letting him see her mother.
  • Lu Yi said the spar would not benefit him and proposed making a wager.

Ch. 313The Wager

Lu Yi and Nan Qiuqiu wagered that the loser would join the winner’s organization, then fought at the Earth Dragon Sect. Lu Yi outmaneuvered and immobilized Nan Qiuqiu, leaving her defeated and stunned.

  • Nan Qiuqiu wagered that Lu Yi would join the Earth Dragon Sect if she won, while Lu Yi said she would join his team if he won.
  • Nan Qiuqiu activated her Rouge Dragon martial soul and fired Annihilation Light at Lu Yi.
  • The beam passed through Lu Yi’s illusion and struck a rock, making Nan Qiuqiu realize he had deceived her.
  • Lu Yi appeared behind Nan Qiuqiu and used bloodline suppression to disrupt her before she could activate Annihilation Protection.
  • Nan Qiuqiu’s body locked up, and she fell backward as Lu Yi declared that she had lost.

Ch. 314Creating His Own Spell

Lu Yi defeated Nan Qiuqiu with his self-created Hallucination Charm, then stopped an Earth Dragon Sect disciple’s attack and subdued him with his Three-Eyed Golden Lion’s bloodline aura. Nan Qiuqiu accepted that she had lost their wager but hesitated to leave without her mother’s permission, and Lu Yi greeted Sect Master Nan when she arrived.

  • Lu Yi revealed that he had used the Hallucination Charm to distort Nan Qiuqiu’s senses and immobilize her without releasing his Martial Soul.
  • An Earth Dragon Sect disciple attacked Lu Yi, but Lu Yi stopped his punch and suppressed him with the Three-Eyed Golden Lion’s Dragonkind aura.
  • A young Earth Dragon Sect member apologized for the attacker, and Lu Yi restored Nan Qiuqiu’s ability to move with Finite Incantatem.
  • Nan Qiuqiu asked about Lu Yi’s strength, then admitted she would honor their wager but said her mother might not let her leave.
  • Sect Master Nan arrived, and Lu Yi introduced himself to her.

Ch. 315The Ten-Thousand-Year Mystic Ice Cave! The Elemental Spirit Snow Empress

Lu Yi negotiated with Nan Shuishui for access to the Earth Dragon Sect’s hidden ice cavern and descended into it, using Octagonal and his other abilities to survive its extreme cold. He brought the Snow Empress to the Ten-Thousand-Year Mystic Ice Cave, where she began recovering her origin power and her trust in him was established.

  • Nan Shuishui punished Nan Qiuqiu for mistreating Lu Yi, then apologized and heard his proposal to investigate the cavern beneath the sect’s well.
  • Nan Shuishui accepted Lu Yi’s deposit of one hundred thousand Gold Soul Coins and led him to the well after warning him about its deadly cold.
  • Lu Yi used protective charms to descend into the well and sent Octagonal ahead as he approached the source of the extreme cold.
  • Lu Yi fell into the Ten-Thousand-Year Mystic Ice Cave, resisted the cold with Jiaojiao and his Ultimate Fire, and opened the case containing the Snow Empress.
  • The Snow Empress discovered that the cavern’s ice energy was replenishing her origin power, and Lu Yi received a notification that her trust had been established.

Ch. 316The Snow Empress's Shattered Conviction

Lu Yi and the Snow Empress absorbed ten-thousand-year profound ice marrow, and Lu Yi copied and mastered her sealing ability in under an hour. The Snow Empress considered using the marrow to reconstruct the Ice Empress's body, but learned that Huo Yuhao was the Ice Empress's chosen path to godhood.

  • The Snow Empress absorbed sixteen rods of marrow while Octagonal absorbed four, and Lu Yi drew in some of the elemental energy Octagonal returned to him.
  • The Snow Empress used the marrow to create twenty-four sealed ice flowers, and Lu Yi observed her technique and began copying it.
  • Lu Yi completed an ice flower and successfully used the sealing technique on the final rod of marrow, prompting the panel to identify it as the Ice Elemental Energy Sealing Technique.
  • The Snow Empress gave Lu Yi a necklace of fifteen ice flowers, advised him to absorb no more than five rods after reaching Soul Douluo, and planned to save the remaining marrow for Xiao Bai and A-Tai.
  • The Snow Empress asked Lu Yi about Huo Yuhao and revealed she had considered using the marrow and the Ice Empress's soul bone to reconstruct Bing'er's body.
  • Lu Yi explained that removing the Ice Empress's torso soul bone would kill Huo Yuhao and that the Ice Empress had sacrificed herself to help him ascend to godhood; he said he knew this because he could read minds.
