Power Progression

Background and History

Xu Tiance is the fourth son of Xu Chengjing, Prince Purple Brilliant, and the younger full brother of Xu Tianran. At the imperial awakening ceremony, his unprecedented Sun-Moon Radiance prompts Kong Deming to take him as a disciple. When Tiance reveals Primordial Cells, Kong directs him toward Soul Master cultivation rather than spending his time crafting Soul Tools 2 4 22.

His Body Martial Soul draws the attention of Body Sect leader Du Busi. Tiance initially declines Du’s offer out of loyalty to Kong, but later accepts him as a second teacher after Du proposes ways to develop Primordial Cells. The arrangement helps secure the Body Sect’s relocation to the Sun Moon Empire 14 19 21.

Tiance wants the Crown Prince’s influence to pursue his ultimate goal of Godhood, but has little interest in ruling as emperor. After Xu Chengjing overthrows Xu Chengye, Tiance is named Crown Prince. During the coup, he has Du Busi intercept the fleeing Xu He, whom he considers a future threat; Du brings Xu He back to the palace 17 24 25 26.

Appearance

Raised in luxury, Xu Tiance is already taller than his peers before Whale Rubber-induced cell division increases his height further 6.

• His Sun-Moon Radiance manifests as a golden sun and Silver Moon behind him 10 15.

Personality

Tiance is observant and politically calculating. He distrusts Xu Tianran’s public show of brotherly affection at first, yet hopes to prevent a succession struggle rather than fight one. His caution turns ruthless during the coup, when he acts to stop the six-year-old Xu He from escaping 2 17 24.

He prioritizes lasting cultivation gains over prestige: he accepts Ye Guyi’s direction of their fusion skill because their faster shared cultivation matters more to him. He also seeks resources for his companions, finding an herb for Kong Deming and sharing Blazing Gel with Ye Guyi 11 36 38.

Abilities and Skills

Sun-Moon Radiance

A single Martial Soul intertwining the imperial Sun and Silver Moon rather than two separate Martial Souls. Before his later transformation, it possesses Ultimate Light and Ultimate Fire alongside mental and spatial attributes; the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well awakens Ultimate Ice within it 2 6 38.

• Sun-Moon Rotation: Each full rotation adds one Sun-Moon Mark, up to nine. One mark increases Soul Skill activation speed by 30%; three reduce Soul Power costs by 50%; five increase all attributes by 80%; and nine allow its light to attack with the Power of the Sun and Moon 10.
• Limit: The skill needs time to accumulate marks, giving an opponent a chance to interrupt it before its stronger effects become available 10.

Primordial Cells

A Body Martial Soul consisting of Tiance’s own cells; it cannot be manifested externally. Its rapid cell division strengthens his physique, particularly after he takes Whale Rubber 4 5 6.

• His enhanced body lets him comfortably absorb an eight-hundred-year First Soul Ring, beyond the usual recommended age 9.
• Du Busi warns him not to push its development too far while his body is still immature 27.
• Tempering in the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well develops Elemental Cell Transformation: his cells can generate and contain ice and fire energy. Other elements remain a future possibility, not a demonstrated ability 37 38.

Sun-Moon Angel

A Martial Soul Fusion Skill performed with Ye Guyi’s Holy Angel Martial Soul. It manifests a towering six-winged angel bearing sun-and-moon markings and an Angel Holy Sword. Ye Guyi directs the skill, while Tiance controls the manifested angel 11 12.

• Their fused Soul Power also speeds cultivation: its circulation is more than twice as fast for Tiance as when he cultivates alone, while Ye Guyi’s speed nearly doubles 11.
• Their first full use drains both of them completely and causes them to collapse 11.

Soul Tool Use

Tiance trains as a Practical-Control Soul Engineer: he studies and uses Soul Tools but is not expected to craft them. His primary focus remains Soul Master cultivation 4 9 27 31.

Equipment and Items

• Storage Soul Tool Ring — carries tools including a short blade used to kill the Yin-Yang Wheel Flower 9.
• Support Soul Tools — his stored equipment includes Milk Bottles, Flying Soul Tools and Storage Soul Tools, all at least Level 4 27.
• Blazing Gel and Octagonal Mysterious Ice Crystal — essences he absorbs during his transformation at the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well 37 38.

Relationships

• Xu Chengjing — father; his successful coup leads to Tiance’s appointment as Crown Prince 2 25 26.
• Xu Tianran — eldest brother and only full brother. Their succession prospects create tension, though Tianran ultimately urges Tiance to become a wise ruler 17 22.
