Knock, knock, knock!
A knock sounded at the door. Qin Muchu opened it, still bleary-eyed, and found Ma Hongjun sneaking up with his ear pressed against it.
"What are you doing, Fatty?" Qin Muchu gave Ma Hongjun a kick. "Not going on a date with your Cuihua?"
"Heh, just checking if you were up, Brother Qin." Ma Hongjun rubbed his backside. "Don't mention that woman. We've broken up."
"Oh? You broke up after just a month? Did she dump you because you're fat?"
"No way. I might not be as brilliant, mighty, handsome, and dashing as you, Brother Qin, but I'm still a genius Soul Master. How could I get dumped?" Ma Hongjun looked thoroughly pleased with himself. "It's just that Cuihua and I had nothing to talk about. I'd talk about the state of the world, and she'd talk about planting rice and cutting grass. "You? Talking about the state of the world?" Qin Muchu cast a disdainful glance at Ma Hongjun's rolls of fat. "Come on, what do you want?"
"Look at my memory. I nearly forgot the important part." Ma Hongjun slapped his forehead. "My teacher wants to see you. He sent me to fetch you."
"The Dean? What does he want with me?" Qin Muchu froze.
"No idea." Ma Hongjun shook his head. "He was acting all mysterious. He only told me to bring you over."
"Got it." Qin Muchu patted Ma Hongjun's shoulder, went back inside to wash up, then headed for the Dean's office.
"What? You want me to draw up a cultivation plan? Dean, you haven't gone senile, have you?" In Flender's office, Qin Muchu sprayed out a mouthful of tea and stared strangely at the man reclining in his chair.
Of all things, he had never
