Two days later.
The uproar over Qin Yang's Three-Punch Kill Huang Dazhou gradually faded.
After all, both the Qin Family and the Twin Snake Gang were ordinary forces in Linjiang City, lacking real influence.
True major powers all had Qi Gathering Martial Artists backing them.
Besides, neither side had clashed again since the incident, so naturally no one paid attention.
Only a few knew that the undercurrents had long been churning, waiting for the moment to erupt.
Qin Manor, Small Courtyard.
Qin Yang was bare-chested, revealing a set of nearly perfect muscles. Having grown up in comfort, his skin was fair, gleaming under the autumn sun like pieces of hard white jade.
"Kill!"
Qin Yang let out a soft shout and began practicing the Arhat Fist in the courtyard.
He had to reach mastery in the Arhat Fist as soon as possible, condensing his fist force to Great Accomplishment, before he could cultivate the Blood Moving Cultivation Method.
In less than the time it took to finish a cup of tea.
Qin Yang completed a full set of Arhat Fist.
Then, a faint creaking sound seemed to come from Inside the Body. His muscles swelled, and his blood and qi suddenly surged, making his whole body blaze like a great furnace, burning fiercely.
After a moment, the transformation slowly stopped.
He quickly opened the Proficiency Panel.
Host: Qin Yang
Arhat Fist: Great Accomplishment (0/1000)
Arhat Fist, breakthrough to the Great Accomplishment realm!
But for Qin Yang, this still wasn't enough.
He was still a thousand experience points away from breaking through to Arhat Fist mastery.
"I practice sixty times each session. That's a little over sixteen days."
"That Mangy Snake probably won't give me that much time."
Qin Yang felt no joy from the breakthrough; his brows were tightly furrowed.
He sat down on a stone stool, thinking over the current situation.
"The Twin Snake Gang hasn't dared to make a move in the last few days. They must have been fooled by me, truly believing I'm a Blood Moving Martial Artist. Otherwise, they'd keep testing."
"They're holding still, probably preparing something."
Qin Yang could sense a very dangerous aura.
He never thought the Twin Snake Gang's inaction meant they planned to let him go.
Thinking that would be the real danger.
A biting Poison Snake never barks.
It only lurks in the shadows, waiting for the right moment to Jump Out and strike.
"I need to find a way to scare this Mangy Snake, buy myself more time."
Qin Yang's mind churned.
"Young Master. Young Master Li is at the gate, insisting on seeing you."
Xiao Huan suddenly walked in, her face troubled.
Qin Yang had instructed her not to disturb him unless the Twin Snake Gang showed up.
But Li Baling was pestering outside, and he was the young master's friend, so she had to come report.
"Li Baling?"
Qin Yang was about to refuse, then a flash of inspiration struck.
"Quickly, call him in!"
"Then keep watch in the garden. Don't let anyone in."
Xiao Huan acknowledged and hurried out.
Before long.
Li Baling came running in with a mischievous grin.
"Qin Yang, your brother got bullied by that scrawny Gong Yang. You need to stand up for me!"
Li Baling immediately threw an arm around Qin Yang's shoulder.
"How am I supposed to stand up for you?" Qin Yang shot Li Baling a glance.
"Don't play dumb with me, kid. I already know you killed Huang Dazhou with three punches."
"You're something, kid—didn't even tell your brother."
"Never noticed your muscles were this solid before."
Li Baling curiously squeezed Qin Yang's muscles again.
"We'll talk later."
"I need you to do something for me."
Qin Yang said seriously.
Seeing the grave look on his face, Li Baling seemed to catch on.
"Is it about the Twin Snake Gang not being settled yet?"
"No wonder my old man told me to stay away from you lately."
Li Baling frowned.
"So, if your brother's in trouble, will you help?" Qin Yang asked.
"No brainer. Am I the kind of guy who's not loyal?" Li Baling puffed out his chest.
Qin Yang nodded slightly, lowering his voice: "Remember Old Lin from Nansheng Street?"
"Yeah. What do you want with that guy?" Li Baling felt a thrill and lowered his voice too.
"Here's what you do—" Qin Yang whispered.
One incense stick later.
Qin Yang suddenly led Xiao Huan out of Qin Manor, strolling aimlessly down the street.
Two figures quietly tailed them.
They didn't notice Li Baling slipping out the back door.
The street was still lively, with plenty of vendors and a bustling crowd.
Qin Yang didn't buy anything, just loafed around like a street punk.
Suddenly.
He grabbed Xiao Huan and dashed into a narrow alley.
Among the crowd, two men in plain clothes changed expressions and shoved through the throng to chase into the alley.
Bam~
A fist, like a temple bell ram, wrapped in fierce, rigid force, slammed into one man's head.
His nose exploded on impact, caving in completely, and he flew straight out of the alley.
The other man's face twisted in terror as he stared at the elegant young man before him.
"Why are you so scared of me?"
"Do I really look that frightening?"
Qin Yang asked with a smile.
Xiao Huan hid behind him, eyes squeezed shut, too afraid to look.
"N-no."
"Young Master Qin, I was just passing through."
The man's voice trembled.
"Passing through. Then you're just unlucky. This Seat isn't in a good mood right now."
Qin Yang shook his head slightly.
Bam~
A dull punch blast exploded.
Another figure flew out of the alley.
"Xiao Huan, let's head back."
"Even shopping comes with so many flies tagging along."
Qin Yang shook his head in exasperation.
After returning to Qin Manor with Xiao Huan, he continued to train hard in the Arhat Fist.
Another five days passed.
Deep Night.
The communal bunkhouse of Qin Manor's guards.
Snoring thundered.
Sun Erhu pretended to get up to pee in the middle of the night, quietly slipping out of the room.
"Qin Dongsheng still hasn't shown up these past few days."
"Looks like he's really gone missing."
"Spread the word first."
Sun Erhu was just stepping out of the courtyard, planning to cut through the garden and slip out the back gate.
"Who?!"
A low shout came from the darkness ahead.
Sun Erhu jolted in fright.
Qin Yang appeared before him, holding a lantern.
"Erhu?"
"What are you doing here in the middle of the night?"
Qin Yang asked, puzzled.
"Just had to pee real bad, figured I'd take care of it in the garden."
Sun Erhu covered it well.
"Isn't the latrine over there?" Qin Yang said, frowning.
"Young master, the garden's closer, right? Think of it as fertilizing."
Sun Erhu laughed awkwardly.
"You little rascal, next time use the latrine. No wonder I always smell piss in the garden."
Qin Yang scolded with a grin.
"Oh, young master, what are you up to at this hour?" Sun Erhu asked curiously.
"None of your business. Get back inside." Qin Yang's face turned stern.
Sun Erhu dared not press further, bowed, and left.
But he didn't go far. He doubled back into the garden.
He quietly followed the faint glow ahead, slipping out of the garden without realizing it, until he reached the back gate of Qin Manor.
"Why is Qin Yang at the back gate in the dead of night?" Sun Erhu frowned deeply.
He didn't dare get close, only eavesdropping from a distance.
Creak~
Qin Yang opened the back gate.
From afar, Sun Erhu spotted a black-clad man in a bamboo hat standing at the entrance.
"No one noticed, right?" the black-clad man said flatly.
"No." Qin Yang nodded.
