In a private room at the hotel.
"Xiaogang, are you really the son of the Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon Clan's leader?" Qian Hongliu asked apologetically.
"Of course! Why are you so violent? You didn't even let me explain. That hurt like hell..." Yu Xiaogang said, aggrieved, as he held ice against his face.
"You can't blame me for that. I saw you deliberately let Bibi Dong bump into you. She's the Saintess of Spirit Hall—and my goddess! You used such a despicable trick to meet her. Of course I beat you up," Qian Hongliu said sternly.
"Hongliu, I didn't want to do that! I do come from the Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon Clan, but my Martial Soul underwent a weakening mutation. I wanted to study in Spirit Hall's Library Pavilion, but my access level wasn't high enough to read the more advanced material. That's why I wanted to meet the Saintess—so I could use her connections to get at those books," Yu Xiaogang said helplessly.
"Oh? Your Martial Soul mutated? If it isn't the Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon, what is it?" Qian Hongliu asked, curious.
"Don't ask. My Martial Soul mutated into a Detached Martial Soul. It's a pig that does nothing but fart..." Yu Xiaogang lowered his head in embarrassment.
"A farting pig? How is that possible? I don't believe you." Qian Hongliu struggled to hold back his laughter.
"I'm not lying." Yu Xiaogang gritted his teeth and summoned his Martial Soul, Luo Sanpao, which looked like a cross between a Shar-Pei and a pig. "His only Soul Skill is farting. He can't do anything else."
"It really is a pig! A Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon Martial Soul mutated into a pig? You're killing me..." Qian Hongliu burst out laughing. He slapped the table with one hand and pointed at Luo Sanpao with the other.
"You..." Yu Xiaogang had not expected Qian Hongliu to mock him so openly. Anger flared inside him.
"Young Master Qian, we're here to see the Farting Pig..." The private room door opened, and a group of young men and women came in. Their eyes filled with curiosity when they saw Yu Xiaogang's Martial Soul, Luo Sanpao. Some could not resist stepping forward to pet him.
Luo Sanpao had never imagined he would be so popular and basked in the attention. Yu Xiaogang sensed his delight, which only made him angrier. Are you blind? I'm a Grandmaster of Martial Soul research, and you can't see me? Fine, don't ask me any questions—but you're actually interested in a farting pig?
Yu Xiaogang burned with jealousy. He spat a mouthful of blood and fainted. Sensing his condition, Luo Sanpao broke away from the crowd and stood in front of him.
Qian Hongliu and the others tried to check on Yu Xiaogang. But Luo Sanpao could no longer sense Yu Xiaogang's emotions or hear his commands, so he judged the people approaching him to be hostile. With a thunderous boom, he let out a massive stinking fart. Its eye-watering stench sent Qian Hongliu and the others fleeing through the private room door, their faces twisted in agony.
The door opened, and a yellow cloud of foul gas instantly spread through the entire restaurant. Diners, servers, and cooks alike fled outside at once.
"So he really is a Farting Pig. That was unbearably foul..." Qian Hongliu said, pinching his nose. After retching several times, his face had gone pale.
The others nodded along, holding their noses and dry-heaving. Today, they had truly witnessed the power of the Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon Clan's Farting Pig.
"What happened to you lot?" Huang Tieyi had just come from a real estate agency and happened to pass by. Seeing their pale faces and pinched noses, he could not help asking.
"A Yi, listen to this. I met Yu Xiaogang from the Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon Clan. His Martial Soul mutated into a Farting Pig, and the smell..." Fighting both nausea and laughter, Qian Hongliu told him what had happened.
"You're saying Yu Xiaogang fainted, and his Martial Soul drove you all out with one enormous fart?" Huang Tieyi had never imagined Yu Xiaogang would make such a ridiculous entrance. He fought the urge to rush in and see for himself.
"Exactly. No idea why he fainted!" Qian Hongliu nodded.
"If Yu Xiaogang's Martial Soul is that weak, could its own fart have stunk him to death while he's unconscious?" Huang Tieyi asked gravely. "If Yu Xiaogang dies from his Martial Soul's fart, you'll all be in trouble."
"If his own Martial Soul's fart kills him, he deserves it. What's that got to do with us?"
"Exactly. Anyone who gets killed by their own Martial Soul's fart deserves it..."
"Whether the fart kills Yu Xiaogang isn't the point. He's the son of the Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon Clan's leader. If he dies in Spirit City, do you think the clan will admit their own man was killed by a fart? Or will they blame you and say you murdered him?" Huang Tieyi said gravely.
"Shit..." Qian Hongliu immediately understood. He summoned his Six-Winged Angel Martial Soul, flew straight into the restaurant, scooped up Yu Xiaogang, and carried him out through a window.
Qian Hongliu laid Yu Xiaogang on the ground. Foam spilled from Yu Xiaogang's mouth, and his face had turned bluish-purple. Luo Sanpao stood on his body, looking utterly lost.
"Quick! Someone heal him..." Qian Hongliu said urgently. "Don't let him die."
A Soul Master immediately stepped forward and treated Yu Xiaogang. The color returned to his face.
"Good. He should be fine now. Let's go," Huang Tieyi said, noticing the faint flutter of Yu Xiaogang's eyelashes. "He's too embarrassed to wake up while we're here."
The curious Soul Masters gathered around Yu Xiaogang left in twos and threes, mocking smiles on their faces. They did not go far. Instead, they found a comfortable distance and watched from the corners of their eyes.
Through Luo Sanpao, Yu Xiaogang knew no one was surrounding him anymore. Only then did he slowly wake and sit up, staring around blankly. He had just withdrawn Luo Sanpao and was about to get up and leave when a fat man and two burly men blocked his path.
"Hello, Yu Xiaogang. I own this restaurant. Your Martial Soul's stinking fart drove away all my customers. You'll have to compensate me for the loss," Fat Nine said, rubbing his big belly.
"How much?" Yu Xiaogang asked weakly as he got to his feet.
"Not much. Fifty Gold Soul Coins altogether," Fat Nine said with a smile.
"Fifty Gold Soul Coins, and you call that 'not much'..." Yu Xiaogang weighed his purse in his hand and forced himself to say, "That's too much. Your restaurant didn't have that many customers. I can only give you thirty Gold Soul Coins."
"Fine. Thirty Gold Soul Coins it is. Pay up." Fat Nine held out his short, pudgy hand.
Yu Xiaogang had not expected Fat Nine to agree so readily. Realizing he had been had, he reluctantly took thirty Gold Soul Coins from his Twenty-Four Bridges and Moonlight storage item and paid him.
