Jiang Hao browsed the information in his mind. When Master's Bro had hunted for his Second Soul Ring, he had chosen self-cloning and absorbed a Hundred-Year Blue Silver Grass for the ring.

As for the interesting thing Master's Bro had mentioned, it had taken him only a month to produce the first version of a reagent that strengthened the body by stimulating it with Soul Power.

In that memory, three of Master's Bro's clones surrounded a Gold-Swallowing Rat and injected a vial of orange-yellow reagent into its exhausted body.

As the reagent took effect, the rat's muscles grew firm, its Soul Power flowed faster, and its stamina rapidly returned.

"Well? This is the first Stamina Enhancer we've developed. Once injected, it can temporarily speed up the circulation of Soul Power, strengthen the body, and accelerate stamina recovery. Adrenaline gave me the idea."

At some point, Master's Bro had come over to Jiang Hao. He wore a snow-white fluffy sweater and carried a case in his right hand, which was covered by a black rubber glove.

He slowly opened it. "The Stamina Enhancer is a finished product now. It's ready for trials on living human subjects.

"As for the other two, the Mental Surge Reagent hasn't undergone live testing yet. We still need to observe and gather data.

"The third is the Soul Ring Factor Catalyst. It's still in the debugging stage.

"I extracted the Soul Ring Factor Catalyst by comparing the factors that condensed when numerous sliced Blue Silver Grass Soul Beasts died against what was missing from their corpses, then purifying the result.

"At present, this reagent consists purely of the mutagenic genes found in Blue Silver Grass Soul Beasts. When a Soul Beast dies, they gather all its power into a Soul Ring.

"I think it's worth studying.

"I haven't tested it on other living Soul Beasts yet, so I don't know whether their mutagenic factors are the same as those of Blue Silver Grass."

As Master's Bro spoke, he carefully closed the case and lifted it by the handle.

"Main Body Old Rogue, remember to give me a Soul Tool next time. Lab equipment is expensive. It'll break if it gets buried under snow."

With that, Master's Bro turned and left, as though he had come solely to show off his results.

Sixth Bro stared at the vials. "Holy shit! You tested three reagents in such a short time, and one's already almost ready for human trials."

Owl Bro patted him on the head. "We're nowhere near that yet. We still have at least three experimental stages before human trials.

"The data from our live tests isn't sufficient. We plan to run several more sets."

Jiang Hao nodded. "Right. If we're injecting something into people, we should run more comparative trials and observe the effects for longer."

After their brief discussion, the convoy slowly reached the site of their earlier camp. They pitched another large tent beside the original one.

Flame Bro, Fire Dragon Bro, and the other fire-attribute Clones released their Martial Souls, driving the cold from the camp for a while.

The tool-Martial Soul Soul Masters searched the surrounding area for trees that had frozen or withered in the extreme cold. They cut them down and hauled them back to camp.

Carriages encircled the two large tents and several smaller ones. The group stayed on the icefield until the blizzard finally stopped late that night.

Early the next morning, Jiang Hao stretched and rose from a heap of bedding. Thick quilts were piled all around, making the tent a little warmer.

He pulled on his padded coat. At that moment, his desire to study Soul Tools reached its peak.

Once they reached Dragon City, he would arrange for Master's Bro and the others to study Soul Tool Technology. By combining it with the physics and chemistry he remembered from his previous life, they might produce something remarkable.

Douluo Continent seemed sorely lacking in physics knowledge. People kept warm by layering wool and cashmere. It worked well enough, but it fell far short of a down jacket and made moving around awkward.

Cold-weather Soul Tools might also be a huge selling point in the Far North. Jiang Hao searched through his memories as he considered the idea.

The sun rose over the horizon, its light dazzling. The moment he lifted the tent flap, a freezing wind poured in.

Jiang Hao gazed at the white world. With sunlight this strong, they could try solar power and electric heaters. It would be a business with virtually no costs and enormous profits.

Settled. I'll leave that to him. I certainly can't do it.

Douluo Continent had plenty of detection Soul Tools that used light energy. Perhaps they could learn from those.

"Main Body Old Rogue, are you done thinking? If you are, could you put me away first? I'm a little cold."

A trembling Clone was huddled inside Jiang Hao's coat. His cheeks were bright red from the cold, webbed with tiny blood vessels like a child's on the high plateau.

Jiang Hao looked down at the Clone hiding against his chest, both feet planted on Jiang Hao's boots, then waved a hand and recalled him.

This cheat ability was wonderful in every way except one: at sunrise, it refreshed his Clones no matter what he was doing or where he was.

At Jiang Hao's call, the Clones around the camp quietly got up and dressed. They loaded the goods that had weighed down the tents back onto the carriages. Two hours later, the convoy reached the gates of Dragon City.

Baozi Bro, Sixth Bro, Fire Dragon Bro, Master's Bro, Jiang Hao, and Qingzhu stared at the notice posted by the gate. Their gazes met, but none of them spoke.

Sixth Bro, never shy with anyone, scratched his head as he read it. "What do we do? Dragon City's put out a warrant for us too."

Jiang Hao glanced at the notice. "Wanted throughout the Dou Ling Empire: the Fatui, a suspected Evil Soul Master gang, and their accomplices, the Thirty-Person Group. Those two things seemed eight poles apart, yet they still connected them. That's almost impressive."

They had guessed correctly, and Jiang Hao shook his head helplessly. Then he smiled. "They're hunting the Thirty-Person Group and the Fatui. What's that got to do with our Soul Hall? Don't worry. We're here to do business."

Jiang Hao clapped the snow from his sleeves, then strode back to his carriage and sat down.

The convoy set off again. No one questioned or inspected them along the way, and they swaggered straight into Dragon City.

"Captain Xiao, why does Brother Jiang Hao seem more like the leader of the Thirty-Person Group, while you seem like the accountant who handles the money?"

Qingzhu shared a carriage with Owl Bro. After watching him check the accounts for some time, she could not help asking.

Owl Bro smiled. "Because my Martial Soul isn't suited to fighting, I'm usually the one making plans from behind the scenes.

"The Thirty-Person Group needs a strong figurehead. He's the strongest of us, so he fills that role. You don't object, do you?"

Qingzhu promptly waved a hand. "Of course not. He's absurdly strong. Sometimes I even think he's insane.

"He faced an Eight-Ring Soul Douluo and still dared to charge in with his sword. If I did that, I'd have to be possessed by an Evil Soul Master.

"That fight in Heaven Dou City nearly left me traumatized. Who knew the person I attacked would turn out to be a Soul Douluo?"

"How do you know about possession?" Owl Bro asked, puzzled. The term was rare; even on Douluo Continent, few people knew it.

"That new guy of yours, Sixth, told me. I don't know what his parents were thinking, naming him Old Six."

Owl Bro burst out laughing. He remembered the young man. Apparently, the poor fellow had been beaten before his Clone awakened, all because he had cut in line.

Old Six sounds awful. I'll ask Main Body Old Rogue to give him a nicer name someday.
