Two days later, in the Far North Core Area.
"Finally here! I'm exhausted."
Tian Meng floated in midair and took a long, luxurious stretch, wriggling her little hands and feet in bliss.
"You're a spiritual body. How can you get tired?"
Tang Qi teased her, his exhaled breath condensing into a cloud of white mist before him.
"Hehe, nothing beats hiding in the Sea of Consciousness and freeloading." Tian Meng stuck out her tongue with a giggle.
Tang Qi shook his head and looked ahead.
A towering iceberg stood upon the snowy plain, its icy peak piercing the clouds and disappearing into the gray-white sky, its summit nowhere in sight.
The entire iceberg was crystal clear, glittering in the sunlight like a lighthouse out at sea.
It was the Ice Jade Scorpion Clan's habitat.
"Should I build a bridge across with blue silver wood?"
Tang Qi rubbed his chin, his gaze falling on the enormous fissure in the ice stretching across their path-a replica of the "Great Rift Valley."
"Let's not."
Tian Meng shook her little head like a rattle drum.
Safety aside, the iceberg only looked close. In truth, it was like a mirage-seemingly within arm's reach, yet far beyond the horizon.
"Let Bingbing come out and welcome us herself."
Tian Meng folded her arms, striking a pose that declared, "I'm a big deal."
"..."
"Well, call her?"
When Tian Meng showed no sign of moving, Tang Qi and Huo Yutong both looked at her in confusion.
"Ahem..."
Looking a little sheepish, Tian Meng drifted up to Tang Qi and lowered her voice.
"Tang Qi, did that uncle of yours come along?"
Tang Qi paused, then slowly looked up. Apart from a pallid sun, there seemed to be nothing in the gray sky.
"Uncle Er Ming, are you there?"
