"What good does saying all this do now?" Danzo slammed the table in anger, turned to Jiraiya, and shouted, "Do you think you can stop them yourself? Even the Raikage and the perfect jinchuriki Killer B together were no match for them!"
"Do you think you can persuade them to surrender? They dared to brazenly seize the Eight-Tails from Kumogakure by force. Do you understand what that means?"
Hiruzen Sarutobi's eyes looked ready to spit fire. This disciple of his was still clinging to such naive ideas.
He rebuked him loudly, "If they dared to openly reveal their true faces, it means they no longer care! No one can talk them out of this!"
"Sensei, Nagato, Yahiko, and Konan are all very kind people. I think someone must have misled them..." Jiraiya flipped through the photographs. When he finally reached the Masked Man's picture, he looked as though he had found a lifeline. Pointing at it, he said, "Sensei, this mysterious man must have misled them. He's wearing a mask—he must be hiding some sinister plot."
"Enough!" Powerful chakra erupted from Hiruzen Sarutobi as he stared at Jiraiya and snapped, "Get a grip! You're decades old. Stop being so naive."
"Face reality. They're no longer the three kind children you remember." At this point, Hiruzen Sarutobi's tone softened.
Jiraiya stared blankly at the photographs. He realized that, no matter what, he could not forget the kindness those three children had once shown.
"Jiraiya, why are there two pairs of Rinnegan? Didn't you just say that only this red-haired man named Nagato had them back then?" Danzo asked gravely.
Jiraiya shook his head. "I don't know why Yahiko has the Rinnegan either."
"Then do you know what abilities the Rinnegan has?" Danzo asked again.
Jiraiya shook his head once more.
"Unbelievable!"
