"This fellow is a disgrace to all mages!" Anger stirred in Levin Hasoko's heart. With a flick of his arm, an enormous surge of mana propelled an exceptionally thick, pale blue column of air straight into the sky, striking the dense bank of dark clouds overhead.
Lightning flashed and thunder roared within the clouds, with such terrifying force that it seemed the world was ending.
But moments later, the dark clouds had completely dispersed, and the sky was clear again.
A Forbidden Spell might have been terrifying to ordinary mages, but to an Archmage like Levin Hasoko, it was merely a somewhat unusual spell. He could easily dispel it with a casual wave of his hand.
As Xu Yi vanished, the Mana Cannons and Mana Beams that had been relentlessly attacking Levin Hasoko disappeared as well. He simply dismissed his Mana Shield and looked in the direction Xu Yi had vanished, stirring the mana within him as he devoted his full attention to sensing which way Xu Yi had fled.
With his abilities as an Archmage, he should have been able to easily determine Xu Yi's escape route from the traces of magic element fluctuations left by his use of mana. But when he extended his mana to investigate, he discovered that the magic elements in that area had fallen into utter chaos.
The magic elements there were so chaotic that even the mana he sent to investigate was affected and swallowed up.
Never mind tracking Xu Yi's escape route through the traces of magic element fluctuations he had left behind-Levin Harsock could not even exert the slightest control
