"Knock-knock, knock-"
After the knocking sounded, Akali's round face peeked out from behind the open door.
When she saw Xu Yi standing outside, her expression turned a little awkward. She paused before smiling. "Mr. President, you're back."
"Yes." Xu Yi nodded and glanced into the room. "How are things? Is Vivian doing well?"
"Vivian's the first person you ask about when you get back..." Akali muttered, stepping aside. "Come in. Vivian's upstairs. She probably hasn't gone to sleep yet. I'll go call her down."
As Akali turned and ran up the stairs, Xu Yi looked back, but he saw no sign of Anise.
Apparently, the female elf had used her Veiling Spell to conceal herself again.
Thinking of how she had followed him the entire way here, Xu Yi tapped his forehead in exasperation.
Elves were stubborn by nature, and Anise was especially stubborn.
No matter how Xu Yi tried to reason with her, she refused to leave his side, as though he would vanish the moment she did.
Persuasion got him nowhere, threats were useless, and he could not shake her off. In the end, he could only resign himself to the situation.
Fortunately, Anise disliked showing herself in front of others and could conceal herself with her Veiling Spell at any time, so her presence did not cause Xu Yi too much trouble.
Shaking his head, Xu Yi walked through the door and discovered that the living room was actually neat and tidy, unlike the mess he had found on every previous visit.
Seeing Akali running back down the stairs, Xu Yi could not help asking in surprise, "Hey, Akali. Have you turned over a new leaf? You've actually learned to tidy up?"
