The Seventh Continental Mage Research Conference, hosted by the Mana Magical Kingdom, opened smoothly.
The main topic at this conference was restoring mage rank assessments.
Most of the mages attending supported the proposal.
After all, to the mages of the Sains Continent, mage rank assessments were a standard for judging a mage's abilities that had endured since the founding of the Mages' Guild, with an exceptionally long history.
In recent years, Xu Yi and the Xinfei Merchant Guild had led many mages to stop caring about these assessments altogether. So few mages even participated that the Mages' Guild had simply stopped holding them in the past few years.
But to the vast majority of mages, especially high-ranking ones, these assessments still held great significance.
Thus, the proposal received widespread approval when it was raised.

So although the Mages' Guild had put considerable effort into getting this proposal onto the agenda, its central question remained how to provide the continent's mages with more detailed rank assessments that were more closely aligned with the magic industry sector.
