In the end, they agreed that Akali would lead a team to work with Elder Windini on studying the exposed ruins, while Xu Yi would come when necessary to help them open the door to the core.
By Xu Yi's estimate, at a normal research pace, Akali and Elder Windini would need several years just to make any meaningful progress.
As for truly unraveling the secrets of these ruins left behind by the Abyssal Demon Race, they might not manage it within his lifetime.
Of course, he very much wanted to follow the Abyssal Demon Race's example and use extraordinarily advanced technology to travel directly to another world, but he would not chase such distant ambitions blindly.
It would be wonderful if they could figure it out, but he would lose nothing if they could not.
