"Is this the major problem you were talking about?" Xu Yi looked at Kennard with some amusement.
Seeing that Xu Yi still looked perfectly relaxed, Kennard was stunned.
"President, how is this not a major problem? Count Andre has already confessed everything. These men all came from the Candel Empire, and they serve the governor of the Southern Province of the Candel Empire. More than six hundred of them have died here. Do you think the governor will simply let that go?"
Xu Yi smiled and asked, "Then what do you think we should do?"
Kennard had clearly already considered the matter. He answered without hesitation, "There's obviously no way to cover this up. In my opinion, we should immediately arrest Baron Prado and all three hundred or so of his men in the name of Congress, then hand them over to Duke Windsor."
"Hmm... from a purely objective standpoint, your approach is quite sound, Kennard." Xu Yi nodded, then changed tack. "But... have you considered one thing? Do you know why Duke Windsor suddenly sent so many of his men to our Stantin Duchy? And why they came sneaking in?"
"Well... none of Duke Windsor's men have volunteered any information yet, so I don't really know," Kennard replied uncertainly.
Xu Yi laughed and patted Kennard on the shoulder. "You should just focus on the guild's internal management and not concern yourself so much with other matters. Where are Count Andre and Duke Windsor's men? Take me to see them."
Kennard frowned at Xu Yi. He thought he heard something more in those words.
Could it be... that the president had anticipated this and made preparations long ago? Was that why he was so calm?
Still puzzled, Kennard led Xu Yi to a hospital inside the Xinfei Merchant Guild's Main
