(I spent all yesterday on a train and really had no energy to write. And tomorrow I have to spend another whole day on a train... what a disaster.)
After a moment of stunned silence, someone in the tavern shouted, and the whole crowd poured outside.
Everyone there had heard of the Mana Airships manufactured by the Xinfei Merchant Guild, but very few had ever seen one in person.
Now they actually had a chance to see these legendary, wondrous rulers of the skies in a small town in the middle of the Candel Empire. Their curiosity immediately surged.
Inside the tavern, all they had seen were vast patches of dark cloud drifting overhead. Only after running outside and gazing intently up at the sky did they truly feel the overwhelming pressure and intimidating presence of the legendary Mana Airships.
The Mana Airships flew just a few hundred meters above their heads. That was neither especially high nor remotely low: far beyond an ordinary person's reach, yet close enough for everyone to see them clearly. Those with sharper eyesight could even make out their general appearance.
With such enormous objects passing overhead, the people on the ground naturally felt tremendous pressure. Some even had the illusion that the sky itself was closing in.
"Gods above! Did the Xinfei Merchant Guild really build those things?" Cries of amazement rose involuntarily from the crowd gazing up from the ground.
"Exactly! Surely only the gods could control something that terrifying? Are there really humans up there?"
"The Xinfei Merchant Guild can actually build something that incredible? That's terrifying!"
"No, the Xinfei Merchant Guild must have inherited the demons' secrets! Those things can't possibly belong to humanity!"
