When the Great Unclean Ones first descended into the mortal world, they were happy.

Seven colossal creatures filed out of the rift in the Warp, their bloated, rotting bodies squeezing through the boundary between reality and Chaos as they descended upon the soil of Colchis, bringing with them the distinctive fragrance of decay from Nurgle's Garden.

They roared happily, happily brandished their rusted weapons, and happily let the pustules and tumors covering their bodies blossom freely in the air of reality.

Under Father Nurgle's protection, they could spread "life."

They would bring wonderful diseases to Realspace, letting all things rot, be reborn, and rot again in the Father's embrace.

This was the meaning of their existence, their greatest joy.

Then, the instant they stepped out of the Garden of Nurgle, they saw a golden figure.

The figure stood before them, clad in white robes, six wings spread behind him and golden halos surrounding him, like a rising sun in the darkness.

His gaze swept calmly over the seven colossal creatures, devoid of any emotion.
