Behind the tide of Daemons, the Bloodthirster Skarbrand entered the Webway through a Warp Rift, surrounded by countless Khorne Daemons.

The rift stretched across the Webway's side wall, like a vast wound an invisible blade had cut between reality and the Warp.

Crimson light poured constantly from its edges, like a molten wound that had yet to heal.

Skarbrand's enormous body passed through the rift, bringing a nauseating stench of blood.

His form was so immense that its oppressive presence almost warped the surrounding air. When spread, his wings blocked the entire width of the passage, and his spiked armored shell gleamed wetly in the red light.

The legion of Khorne Daemons streamed in behind him, treading on one another's shadows and cutting a path with bright red blades and massive battle axes, leaving chaotic, bloody tracks across the Webway floor.

The entire legion poured into the Webway's structure like a flowing river of blood.

The Four Gods committed their power to the Webway.

Each of the Four Gods sent their own Greater Daemons and daemonic legions into the Webway to contend with the Imperium.

Khorne Daemons charged directly, Nurgle Daemons wore down the enemy with toxic mist and disease, Slaaneshi Daemons pierced defensive lines with speed and precision, and Tzeentch Daemons twisted the laws of reality in the shadows, using the Warp's deceptions to interfere with every judgment the Imperium made.

These forces were not coordinated; they were even hostile toward one another. Yet now, faced with a common goal, they maintained a fragile alliance.

But the legions of the Four Gods were not an unlimited force.

The Daemons could hold back the Imperial defenders, but they could not swiftly crush powerful combat units such as the Adeptus
