Lorgar stood where he was, facing the "man" who had appeared out of thin air, cast no shadow, and shimmered with digital light around his edges. There was no alarm at being surrounded on Lorgar's face, nor did the figure's hollow, inhuman bearing shake him in the slightest.
"Before asking a guest to introduce himself..." Lorgar began slowly. In the enclosed space, which had suddenly fallen deathly silent, his voice sounded exceptionally clear and steady, even carrying a hint of cautious courtesy.
"Proper etiquette dictates that the host first give his own name. Tell me, who are you, sir?"
The man, who resembled a holographic image, seemed to have anticipated this question. Without the slightest hesitation, he answered in an electronic, synthesized voice so calm it was unsettling. "Logic unit acknowledges inquiry. I am Adam, the central management system of the deep-space cruise ship Superstar. My responsibilities include calculating this vessel's navigation trajectory, maintaining its core systems, regulating its internal environment, coordinating passenger services, and ensuring security."
He tilted his head slightly, the movement precise yet stiff.
"Identity confirmed. Now it is your turn to answer my questions, unauthorized entity."
"State your identity, and the ultimate purpose of your intrusion into this vessel, along with that of the mechanical units behind you."
"Your actions do not conform to any known scheduled visitation protocol, and you have inflicted physical damage on this vessel's basic service units."
"Lorgar Aurelian, Primarch and master of the Imperium of Man's Seventeenth Legion, the Word Bearers."
"My Legion and I represent the Imperium of Man in exercising its lawful right to reclaim and requisition this star cluster and all lost human heritage within it. This vessel forms part of humanity's civilizational heritage and is now being taken into Imperial custody."
