Lorgar set down the Dataslate in his hand. Its metal edge struck the solid wooden desktop with a crisp, measured clack.

He slowly raised his head. The indifference and irritation at being disturbed had vanished from his gaze, replaced by the stillness of a Deep Pool as he looked straight at "Anna," who was undoing her second button.

Beneath that stillness lay a coldness that could freeze the soul, and the understanding of someone who had seen through to the truth.

"Anna" abruptly stopped.

Her fingers paused over the second button.

The complicated expression on her face, mingling weariness, temptation, and a deep violet gleam, receded like the tide. In its place came a strange, seductive composure at being exposed, carrying even a trace of approval.

"How... perceptive, Lord Lorgar." Her voice changed. It was no longer Anna's clear, bright tone, but languid and husky, threaded with countless faint echoes and sweet venom. Every syllable sought to tease the listener's nerves.

"My master, the supremely exalted Slaanesh, is... quite taken with you."

She abandoned her disguise, elegantly withdrawing her hand from the button. Her posture changed as well. The deliberate relaxation of a moment ago became that of a viper poised to strike, yet stretching out to display its beauty.

She tilted her head slightly, her eyes now blazing violet, and met Lorgar's icy gaze without hesitation.

"My master admires you, Lorgar. Admires the almost obsessive joy and satisfaction that surge within you when you act to 'save' your brothers. Admires the pure pleasure that erupts from the depths of your soul when you revel in battle, pursue power, and yearn to face the strong. That quality, that desire
