"Hey—hey—hey! Lorgar!!"
A bright voice, drawing out every syllable and brimming with triumphant delight, abruptly shattered the silence outside Primarch Lorgar Aurelian's office deep within the Law of Faith.
Almost at the same instant—
"Hiss—"
The door to his private chamber, secured with high-strength alloy, multiple authorization checks, and a key issued by Lorgar himself, silently slid inward in an instant, opening a narrow gap.

She casually tapped behind her, and the heavy door slid smoothly and silently shut again.
It was Anna.
The "silver-haired lady" whose identity remained a mystery to outsiders, whose relationship with Lorgar was ambiguous, and who commanded a wealth of ancient, even forbidden technologies. Her signature silver-white fitted workwear, combining functionality with a distinctive aesthetic, was spotless. Her long silver hair hung loosely over her shoulders, its ends swaying with her jaunty steps.
Wearing a radiant smile that mingled excitement with the urge to show off, her star-blue eyes sparkling in the room's soft light, she walked straight toward Lorgar. He sat behind an almost absurdly broad alloy desk at the far end of the room, leaning against his high-backed chair and apparently reviewing several luminous Dataslates floating before him.
"What's up?"
Lorgar did not even raise his head. His gaze remained fixed on the light screens
