Lorgar's room lay on the upper deck of the Law of Faith. Rather than living quarters, it was a quiet chamber that combined a private space for contemplation with modest command facilities.
Heavy solid wood and austere metal set the room's tone. One wall held bookshelves reaching all the way to the vaulted ceiling, crammed with books of every kind, Dataslates, and scrolls. Another held an enormous observation window overlooking the eternally shifting, bizarre vistas of the Warp, though it was currently set to an opaque dark tint.
A broad obsidian desk stood in the middle of the room, bare except for a simple Cogitator terminal and a few Quills.
When Lorgar pushed open the heavy wooden door carved with scripture, his eldest son, Rockefeller, captain of the First Company, stood before the desk like a statue of unwavering loyalty.
Rockefeller stood straight in his Artificer Armour, his helmet off. His handsome, solemn face bore a rare, indescribable hint of discomfort.
Seeing Lorgar enter, he immediately offered a regulation salute. His lips moved as though he wanted to say something, but he swallowed it back. His gaze involuntarily drifted down toward his feet.
"Hey, Rockefeller," Lorgar greeted him casually, unfastening his heavy cloak and hanging it on the rack beside the door. His voice carried a little of the ease that came after finishing his official duties. He walked behind the desk but did not sit down immediately, noticing his son's unusual flicker of expression and the direction of his gaze.
"What's up?"
As he asked, he followed Rockefeller's gaze to the floor in front of him. The smooth metal flooring, stamped with the Legion Insignia, was empty.
"What are you looking at? There's nothing there..." Lorgar raised an eyebrow, puzzled.
"Hey! Hey! Down here! Look down here!"
