"Lorgar."
Corax's voice came from the other side of the screen. It was no longer merely cold, but laden with barely restrained fury that threatened to burn away his reason.
The muscles in his rock-carved face were taut, his jaw rigid as a knife's edge.
His eyes, hidden in shadow, were fixed on Lorgar. The fury within them churned and seethed beneath their cold surface like forcibly contained volcanic magma.
"You..."
He seemed about to say something, but the grinding of his teeth was clearly audible over the Communications Channel.
It was the humiliation and rage of someone whose disguise had been utterly exposed, whose scars had been laid bare before everyone.
He stared at Lorgar, the anger in his eyes so intense that it almost became tangible, a poisonous flame spewing across the void to scorch everyone in the Communications Room.
"Enough."
Horus's voice came at just the right moment. It was not loud, but carried unquestionable authority, like a heavy floodgate slamming shut on the roar Corax was about to unleash.
The Warmaster's face remained stern, but his hawklike eyes were filled with exhaustion and profound concern.
"That's enough."
He looked at his brothers on either side of the screen, his gaze moving between Corax's face, twisted with anger, and Lorgar's calm, unruffled mask.
"We are all brothers." His voice softened, weighted with the effort of trying to mend the rift. "We will never let this matter divide us."
Dead silence filled the Communications Room.
Angron snorted and turned his head away, but his clenched fists made it clear he did not agree.
Curze remained silent, as though he were part of the shadows. Lorgar simply watched quietly and waited.
"This matter ends here." Horus made his decision, his tone leaving no room for argument.
"That is all."
