Just as Angron and Curze stood back to back, covering each other, the figure lurking in the thick fog struck again.

There was no warning, no sound, no disturbance in the air. He sprang from absolute stillness like a viper darting out of the shadows, his spear becoming a streak of dark light that thrust straight into the gap between them!

His target was neither Angron nor Curze, but the momentary lapse in their coordination as they stood back to back.

That fleeting blind spot neither of them could defend at the same time.

But he had underestimated Curze.

An instant before the figure moved, Curze's pupils contracted slightly.

In that moment, his psychic foresight caught a fleeting image: a streak of dark light thrusting straight through the middle, piercing their back-to-back defense.

The image lasted only a fraction of a second, but that was enough.

Curze spun around, his body making a decisive movement under the guidance of that vision.

He lunged sideways and back, slamming his shoulder into Angron behind him and knocking him away!

Caught off guard, Angron staggered several steps to one side under the force of the shove, moving just clear of the spear's path.

At the same time, Curze darted backward in the opposite direction, his form merging into the deeper fog like a shadow scattered by the wind.

The streak of dark light pierced the spot where they had stood, striking nothing but air.

"Damn it!"

Angron steadied himself and roared. His arm muscles tightened, and he hurled the heavy Power Axe like a javelin!

The howling axe blade tore through the fog, spinning rapidly through the air with enough force to cleave tank armor as it flew straight toward the figure's exposed flank.
