The blade fell.

The motion was not swift. It carried a ceremonial solemnity and composure, as though he were not carrying out a killing, but completing a sacred rite.

Lorgar lowered his arm steadily. The greatsword traced a perfect arc through the air, golden radiance flowing along its blade like solidified sunlight, like liquid gold, like the light of judgment pouring down from the pinnacle of eternity.

The golden slash grew endlessly larger in Kasara's eyes.

Its huge, cloudy, bloodshot eyes reflected the golden arc bearing down on it.

It saw its own end.

It wanted to roar, to plead, to curse, but some invisible force seemed to grip its throat, leaving it unable to make a sound.

The golden slash passed down the center of its body, from crown to groin, neatly dividing its planet-sized bulk into two halves.

No blood gushed out. No entrails spilled.

Before that golden radiance, Kasara's body melted like snow beneath the sun, dissolving from the edges of the cut, disintegrating into nothingness.

Its two halves gradually shrank and faded beneath the golden flames, finally becoming two wisps of dark green smoke that drifted through the void of the Warp. The golden light purified them completely, leaving not a trace behind.

But the golden slash did not stop.

After cutting through Kasara, it maintained its original speed and course, flying onward like an unleashed blade of light that would never fade, straight into the depths of the Warp.

It pierced veil after veil, crossed region after region of churning Chaos energy, and passed through countless domains where Warp
