A minor interlude

The enormous Transport Aircraft slowly decelerated, then turned around and backed into the Hangar, tail first.

Its immense bulk filled three berths at once.

Roscola Vorman stood with her arms folded in a transparent compartment at the rear of the Hangar, accompanied by a squad of guards. She watched the unfamiliar Transport Aircraft deftly lower its landing gear before gradually shutting down its engines.

The Hangar's outer doors slowly closed, and the chamber began rapidly pressurizing.

Only when the green light indicating normal air pressure came on did the group leave the compartment.

Whoosh!

As a gap opened at the Transport Aircraft's rear, its vacuum-filled aft cargo hold rapidly sucked in a vast quantity of air.

Wild currents surged through the Hangar.

Beep!!!

The sudden drop in pressure even triggered the Hangar's depressurization alarm.

Startled, the guards thought something had malfunctioned in the Hangar. They instantly surrounded Vorman at the front of the group and roughly ushered her back into the compartment behind them.

However, after the ship's self-diagnostics failed to find a leak, it dynamically equalized the Hangar's pressure again. Large quantities of air poured from the ventilation system with a faint whistle.

A Tech-Priest on duty in the Hangar control room, responsible for its operation, discovered the culprit behind all this and stared at the enormous Transport Aircraft with a peculiar expression.

As the Transport Aircraft's rear armor lowered fully, the clank of metal came from the shadows at its tail.

Under the Hangar lights, mechanical bodies gradually emerged from the shadows. Humanoid figures made entirely of metal reflected a faint sheen beneath the cold white illumination.

Through the observation window, the Tech-Priest in the control room repeatedly zoomed in and out with the electronic eye that had replaced his biological one as part of his Bionic Body.
