With Vulkan acting as a buffer, the already somewhat strained relationship between Lion El'Jonson and Guilliman immediately became much more amicable.

Just as the three Primarchs became engrossed in their conversation, a mixed contingent of Adeptus Custodes and Imperial Fists suddenly arrived.

As the Astartes stepped aside, a somewhat familiar-looking machine body appeared in the middle of the group.

It was the spare machine body known as the Emissary.

"Iax?"

The machine body nodded, a smile appearing on its metal head. Coupled with its silvery metallic sheen, it conveyed not the slightest warmth.

"As a matter of courtesy, I have chosen to speak face-to-face in a non-emergency situation."

"Vulkan, Lord of Drakes, although this unit has agreed to provide you with medication, please prioritize efficiency. Synthesizing the medication takes time, and you have not informed me how much you require. Please provide this unit with sufficient data as soon as possible."

Though caught up in his reunion with his brothers, Vulkan had naturally not forgotten his purpose. He wanted to cure his Progeny's genetic defects so they would no longer suffer the disasters caused by gene-seed mutations.

But he did not currently know how many of his Progeny were still active throughout the Imperium.

Vulkan therefore decided to ask his two brothers.

Both were rather surprised to learn that Vulkan had received help from the Men of Iron to resolve his Progeny's genetic defects.

Lion El'Jonson still distrusted these machine bodies born of ancient technology, but Guilliman remained silent. His impression of the Men of Iron left him wondering what price Vulkan had paid to get these iron clanks to help him solve the problem.

He had no idea, however, that Vulkan had done nothing at all.

Still, Guilliman was more than willing to help with his brother's request.
