As an immense Warp Route opened, the Dark Angels left behind for search and rescue quickly maneuvered their damaged ships into battle formation. After all, the Imperium seemed to possess no vessel capable of creating such an enormous Warp Rift.
But when hundreds of silver-shimmering Mechanicus Ships emerged from it in succession, the Dark Angels recognized who they belonged to.
Only the ancient Men of Iron possessed such a fleet in the entire Milky Way.
According to the Dark Angels' intelligence, the Men of Iron possessed supermassive ships comparable in size to planets. It was hardly surprising that something that large would create such an immense Warp Route.
Everything unfolded just as they expected.
After the other ships emerged, an enormous Titan Ship slowly drifted out of the Warp.
Its colossal hull was awe-inspiring. Though the Dark Angels knew ships of this class existed, most of them were seeing such a terrifying behemoth of war for the first time.
After comparing the data, the Dark Angels, who had worked closely with the Inquisition for years, quickly discovered that this enormous vessel appeared to match neither of the Men of Iron's ships in Imperial records, the Spear of Titans and the Sword of the Void. This was a gigantic vessel the Imperium had never recorded.
It was the third Titan Ship Iax had just completed—the Forgeheart.
The Forgeheart was fitted with a Doomsday Weapon system entirely different from the Spear of Titans', with two Annihilation Cannons mounted in its bow to strike gigantic targets. In addition, Iax had installed an extra, massive quantum computing module aboard this Titan Ship and equipped it with the Grey Tide Annihilator, which consisted of a nano-swarm.
Rather than a weapon, the Grey Tide Annihilator was closer to a matter-extraction system.
It enabled the Forgeheart to
