Iax immediately analyzed the changes in the Necrons' weapons.
The conclusion came quickly.
The entire fleet had not truly fallen into the Warp.
In realspace, the various physical laws and constants formed a spatial veil. Repeated rewinds had now caused widespread, uneven changes in the supporting structure of this region of space.
The disruption of time as a physical constant had caused the spatial veil to collapse.
As a result, the entire fleet had been wrapped in the spatial veil like filling in a steamed bun and dragged down into a layer of the Warp.
Yet this was still realspace, though Warp energy would seep into it continuously.
The stasis bubble had disintegrated because Warp energy had interfered with its physical constants.
But Warp Engines were actually ineffective here.
At the spatial collapse, the damaged temporal structure slowed any matter attempting to pass through it.
The Necron fleet's first attack had carried temporal acceleration. On contact with the shields, it had disrupted their integrity, rendering the entire shield system little more than decoration.
Now, however, the accelerated attacks returned to their normal state after passing through the temporal deceleration field. Without temporal acceleration assisting them, the shields functioned normally and blocked the attacks.
To determine exactly what effect this layer of damaged temporal structure would have.
Iax immediately modified the Heart of the Forge's Annihilation Cannon.
Countless Nanomachines began modifying the structure at the end of the cannon, while Servitors transported components produced by the Quantum Printing Module.
Within just a few minutes, Iax had fitted this Doomsday Weapon with an offensive temporal module.
As the weapon charged again, a special Temporal Energy was imbued within it.
Wreathed in a strange glow, a massive beam shot straight toward the distant Necron fleet.
It was just as predicted.
The damaged temporal
