The Red Corsairs warship carrying Khârn swept past the edge of the Maelstrom at astonishing speed, like a meteor trailing destruction.
Inside the warship, beneath the dim lights, Khârn radiated an almost insane fervour, an endless hunger for battle and slaughter, as though he were about to attend the greatest, most exhilarating revel of his life.

Khârn laughed in satisfaction at the bloody chaos, then swung the Blood Slaughterer, blessed by Khorne himself, and joined the "revel."
The Imperial Navy soldiers, whose formations had already been utterly shattered by the Orks, inexplicably felt boundless rage welling up within them. Though they had not even seen Khârn himself, Khorne's evil power was still at work.
Some mortal soldiers, weak of will and bereft of courage, screamed as they descended into madness. Some even felt the whispers of Chaos and that boundless fury, and shouted aloud.
"Blood for the Blood God! Skulls for the Skull Throne!"
Then they swung their weapons once more, attacking Orks and their own comrades without distinction.
