After Oglai returned to Chogoris, Jaghatai personally watched Juba's treatment.

A vial of shimmering Panacea was injected into Juba's mutilated body through the tubes of his life-support cradle.

A faint, muffled groan escaped him.

Juba's ruined body, too incomplete even to be interred in a Dreadnought, began to repair itself rapidly.

Missing organs, bones, and flesh began to regenerate before their eyes.

The Chaos power left in his body by the Red Corsairs' torture visibly began to drain out of him.

His flesh began to reconstruct itself, then grew stronger still.

The implants that had sustained his life were forcibly squeezed out of his flesh.

"This is the Panacea! The all-powerful healing agent of ancient technology! Emperor be praised!"

At the thought of the several tonnes of Panacea they had received.

Oglai could barely speak.

"Hahahaha!"

Jaghatai Khan roared with laughter.

Although he had little fondness for those cold machine bodies, the Men of Iron had, regardless, saved one of his precious sons this time.

"What happened?"

Startled awake by the Khan's laughter, Juba abruptly sat up in the cradle.

A look of astonishment spread across his heavily bearded face.

He turned his hands over repeatedly before his eyes, then looked down at his other limbs and torso.

"I'm healed? How is that possible? Am I already dead? Is this the Emperor's Sanctuary?"

With one great hand, Jaghatai hauled Juba out of the cradle.

"You're alive, and perfectly well. I, Jaghatai, told you I would find a way to heal you."

Looking at the Khan, who stood more than half a head taller than him, Juba immediately bowed.

"Great Khan, praise be to the Emperor and the spirits of nature."

"You've only just recovered. Rest properly for a while before reporting to me. Now, we have vengeance to exact."
