Looking at the hangar, which had gone from overcrowded to deserted, Iax turned toward Calando beside him.

"Fascinating. I registered over a hundred visual inspections, but everyone seemed to lose interest after seeing the two insignia on my side."

This is my first time seeing one of the Men of Iron, too, but as I understand it, you're a mechanical construct. The Adeptus Mechanicus has all sorts of bizarre constructs and modified machinery. As he spoke, Calando led Iax to the cruiser's armoury. It was packed with weapons and equipment, and quite a few red-robed Tech-Priests were busy working there.

Along the way, Mortals soldiers and Ultramarines occasionally sized up the towering mechanical construct following their officer.

At the sight of the conspicuous Aquila insignia on Iax, some of the Mortals even raised their hands and crossed them over their chests in salute.

Iax looked at the saluting naval soldiers with some puzzlement.

Calando noticed his reaction, and pride coloured his voice.
