The Bridge was deathly silent, but Iax paid no attention to anyone else's reaction. Instead, he watched the seemingly vibrant Planet beyond the viewport with interest.
Far from any star, at the edge of the Milky Way, a lush green Planet floated alone.
It defied the very conditions needed for life to flourish.
Iax had no doubt that there was something special on that Planet.
Calando, meanwhile, had far more to worry about.
After he repeatedly stressed the order to keep silent, those almost heretical words were buried deep in the minds of the few who had heard them.
The looks they gave Iax grew all the more complicated.
Perhaps destroying this Man of Iron at any cost, even at the expense of everyone aboard, would be preferable to the upheaval he might cause in the future.
Unease filled Calando's heart.
Adrian arrived at that moment, having just cleaned the blood covering his body. The moment he returned to the Bridge, he noticed the strange atmosphere.
Calando's behavior struck him as particularly odd.
Why was he so uneasy? Was some unusual enemy lurking nearby?
Adrian carefully surveyed his surroundings, his Auspex repeatedly scanning the entire Bridge as he kept a wary watch over everything around him.
Yet the entire Bridge remained quiet, and Iax was the only one who seemed entirely at ease.
Adrian carefully approached Calando's side, resting one hand on the Plasma Pistol at his waist while gently patting Calando's shoulder with the other.
"My brother, are you all right?"
Despite his words, Adrian dared not lower his guard in the slightest. Calando was a member of the Victrix Guard and had fought countless battles.
But their encounter with the Warp had been far too sudden.
Warp incursions had certain characteristics: the greater one's exposure, the easier it
