Grog Bonecrusha's Blood Axes fleet brutally tore through the cold void defenses of the Necron Dynasty's Crownworld like a cosmic storm of scrap metal, noise, and pure brute force.
These ships were the ultimate expression of Ork aesthetics—haphazardly cobbled together from the vast skeletons of Adeptus Mechanicus transport ships, gleaming living metal fragments from Necron Tomb Ships, and countless welded steel plates and oversized rivets.
Their hulls were slathered in garish red paint (to go faster) and green paint (because it was the most WAAAGH!), and hung with enormous tusks, crude skull markings, and captured Imperial aquilas (simply because they looked shiny).
Their weapon arrays were an outright carnival of the Big Meks' "kunnin'."
They ranged from Adeptus Mechanicus Macro-cannon batteries to "super buzzy big lamp kannons" crudely welded together from bundles of Necron Gauss Weapons, and "fire-spittin' big gobs" made from starship engines that spewed unstable streams of plasma.
The entire fleet was a mobile source of noise pollution and a weapons platform. Roaring engines, bellowing Boyz, and the shriek of charging weapons mingled into a suffocating wall of sound that seemed to make even the cold void tremble.
Only when this steel Green Tide crushed the counterattack from the planet's surface defense arrays and hurled every device capable of landing down like furious raindrops onto the Crownworld's bleak surface, studded with ancient Obelisks and tomb entrances, did the Necron world below stir like an awakened behemoth.
There were no alarms, no mobilization, only countless dormant tomb gates crashing open at a silent command.
Ranks of Dynasty warriors marched onto the battlefield with uniform, lifeless steps. The ghostly green light in their eye sockets no longer represented the Dynasty's pride, but the cold will of the Nightbringer, forcibly instilled within them.
More Gauss Cannon emplacements rose, shaped like enormous
