The brilliant flash of the explosion lit up the darkness. The shock wave racing up from behind knocked the Orks off their feet.

The two squads at the front had only just joined up.

One bright speck after another descended from space toward the ground.

The tremendous impacts made the land shudder violently.

The Orbital Bombardment had begun.

After receiving the coordinates, the Cruiser in orbit had taken several minutes to maneuver into position.

The coordinates Calando uploaded finally allowed those aboard the ship to locate the target they needed to observe.

With the interference barrier and illusions gone, the emerald-green Planet instantly became a barren world covered in yellow earth.

The Ork camps scattered across its surface were now fully visible to them.

Even Adrian, a Veteran Sergeant, drew a sharp breath at the sight of Orks spread everywhere.

The ship's massive Auspex array quickly completed its scan and marked the squads on the ground in detail.

Since this was not a large-scale battle, they only needed to monitor a small battlefield, which made the Auspex readings much clearer.

A green tide surged behind the two squads.

Knowing how urgent the situation was, Adrian immediately had the Captain order an orbital strike.

But that still took time.

Loading a single enormous Macro-cannon shell required hundreds of slave laborers working together. Damage to the ship's lower decks had cost them thousands of those laborers at once.

All these circumstances ultimately meant the Orbital Bombardment came late.

The colossal high-explosive shells were loaded by crude autoloaders.

Finally, several minutes later, the first salvo pierced the Planet's atmosphere and slammed into the area Calando had designated.

These gigantic bombs, weighing hundreds of tons each, easily blasted entire swathes of Ork camps into the sky.
