After shutting down the Cawl Inferior, Guilliman narrowed his eyes slightly. He had met Cawl himself once after the last time he had used the Inferior.
Cawl had explicitly told Guilliman that he had never made any such request.
The Cawl Inferior installed aboard Macragge's Honour had lost Guilliman's trust. Any advice it offered now required careful reconsideration. For the moment, its only purpose was to serve as a pager for contacting Cawl himself.

Through the transparent viewport, he could see the Dawn of Fire alongside them.
Guilliman's gaze was deep, his thoughts churning. His ten-thousand-year slumber had left the Imperium riddled with wounds, and he was far too busy.
So busy that he had no time to take a proper look at Ultramar, or even return to see prosperous Macragge.
When he had first awakened, the Imperium's Traitors had even appeared before his Stasis Force Field.
The entire Five Hundred Worlds had been plunged into the chaos of war along with him.
This moment was probably one of his few opportunities to relax.
The busy shipping lanes and passing merchant fleets brought Guilliman a measure of comfort. At least his efforts still meant something to this Imperium.
Turning to look down the shadowy shipboard corridor, Guilliman suddenly had a rather unexpected thought.
The Cawl Inferior's behaviour unsettled him, but there was an even more unsettling presence aboard the Dawn of Fire.
Perhaps it was time to meet Iax.
Guilliman stepped out of the passage and looked at the Shieldguard Veterans waiting by its entrance.
"Vane, return to the Dawn of Fire and find Calando. Tell him to bring Iax here to see me."
