At Heaven Dou Royal Academy, Qin Ming personally selects the students in his class. Before Ye Han’s arrival, it consists of seven students; Ye Han’s admission brings the roster to eight. Qin Ming initially suspects that Ye Han has entered through connections. He offers an assessment rather than automatic acceptance, then ends the match and welcomes him after the Fire Qilin overwhelms Yu Tianheng. Learning that Ye Han has just turned ten and reached rank twenty-nine further astonishes him 1 2.

Tournament Preparation and Forest Expedition

When Ye Han returns from seclusion, Qin Ming assumes his cultivation bottleneck is level forty. Ye Han leaves the misunderstanding uncorrected, so Qin Ming announces an expedition to obtain fourth rings for both him and Yu Tianheng while improving team coordination 20.

In the town near the forest, Qin Ming permits Ye Han to greet former classmates but warns him not to join their fight. After Ye Han injures Ma Hongjun and Dai Mubai, Qin Ming intervenes, stops him, and places himself between Zhao Wuji and the students to prevent escalation 21 22.
